★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We stopped taking our pets to Ranson Animal Hospital years ago due to the veterinarian’s poor bedside manner. Recently, I accompanied a friend to an appointment there and was quickly reminded why we left. The atmosphere remains dismissive and unwelcoming, and it’s clear they are not focused on client relationships or patient comfort.I was especially concerned to overhear the vet brushing off my friend’s valid concerns about the way she was treated by the support staff earlier that week. There was no effort to listen, empathize, or acknowledge her experience—it felt cold and condescending. What’s more troubling is that for eight years, my friend’s dog was told she had a heart murmur—only to be correctly diagnosed as not having one after switching to our current vet at Apple Tree Animal Clinic (recommended by the Humane Society). If you’re looking for a clinic where your concerns will be heard and your pets treated with compassion and professionalism, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Bedside manner matters, and unfortunately, it’s still lacking at Ranson Animal Hospital.
June 25 · ChanThis vet was fabulous start to finish. From calling speaking the the kind lady on the phone, getting the appt. Set up , I have a large german shepherd who had sore ear in need of a cleaning they helped me upon arrival gave us a private room bc our dog was anxious and nervous, you could tell they all have a deep love for animals and there to actually help you help your animal, the pricing was by far the most affordable in the berkeley jefferson county area, the quoted me a great price and told me they'd let me know before they did anything extra , which my dog did need a bit of sedation and he did need some medications but in the end I couldn't be more pleased. The vet explained everything to me thoroughly what to expect what to do continued care, things to look for in case he has allergies and what they can do if he would end up with allergies to something . I am so pleased!!!!! Thank you all so much!!!!! The 1 lady kept me talking while his procedure was being done bc i think she knew i was worried and a little upset just because i knew our pup was scared , so she really helped keep me calm and that was great!!! And the lady that checked me was awesome she also has GSD and gave me some valuable info and was extremely friendly !!! Thank you as well!!!! You all are amazing
