ReadyVets Veterinary Urgent Care understands that pet emergencies and urgent health concerns can arise unexpectedly, often causing immense stress for pet parents. They recognize that pets are cherished family members, and their approach to care reflects this profound understanding, treating every animal with dignity and respect. Their commitment to transparent communication and fair pricing ensures that pet owners in South Carolina are fully informed and supported, even in challenging circumstances, fostering a strong and trusting relationship.

This strategic location on Wade Hampton Boulevard, a major artery in the Taylors/Greenville area, makes it highly accessible for pet owners not only within Taylors but also from surrounding communities across the Upstate of South Carolina. Whether you are coming from Greenville, Greer, Duncan, or other nearby towns, Wade Hampton Boulevard offers straightforward navigation. The clinic's prominent position ensures it is easy to find, which is especially beneficial during stressful urgent situations. Their hours, extending until 10 PM most nights, further enhance their accessibility for busy families.
ReadyVets Veterinary Urgent Care specializes in providing prompt, high-quality care for a wide range of urgent, non-life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention but are not severe enough for a 24/7 emergency vet. Their services bridge the gap between your primary veterinarian and critical emergency hospitals.
Urgent Care for Non-Life-Threatening Conditions: This includes a broad spectrum of issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, minor injuries, limping, skin allergies, ear infections, coughing, lethargy, loss of appetite, and other sudden, non-critical illnesses or injuries. They aim to address these concerns swiftly to prevent them from escalating.
Diagnostic Services: Equipped to quickly assess your pet’s condition, they offer on-site diagnostic capabilities including blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams, and digital radiography (X-rays) to identify underlying issues and guide treatment plans.
Pain Management: For pets experiencing acute pain from injuries or sudden conditions, they provide effective pain relief to ensure comfort and promote healing.
Minor Wound Care: Treatment for lacerations, punctures, or other minor external injuries that require immediate cleaning and suturing.
Pregnancy-Related Urgent Care: As highlighted by a client's experience with their pregnant Rottweiler, they can offer crucial support and care for complications arising during a pet's pregnancy when other clinics might turn away due to perceived financial constraints or lack of immediate availability.
Euthanasia Services: Providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets, offering a dignified and loving farewell. Their pricing for this sensitive service, including individual cremation and a paw print, is notably fair, even on weekends, as attested by a grieving pet owner.
After-Hours Accessibility: While not 24/7, their operating hours until 10 PM most nights provide a critical alternative when primary veterinarians are closed, offering peace of mind to pet owners facing evening or weekend concerns.
Hydration and Supportive Care: For pets suffering from dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhea, they can provide intravenous fluids and other supportive therapies.
ReadyVets Veterinary Urgent Care distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that contribute to its outstanding reputation among pet owners in South Carolina and even those traveling from neighboring states. These points are consistently echoed in client testimonials, painting a clear picture of their commitment to exceptional care and understanding.
Compassionate and Dignified Care: The most resounding highlight is their exceptional compassion, especially during difficult times. A client praised how they "treated us with compassion and love, and most of all treated Jax with dignity" during euthanasia. This profound empathy extends to challenging situations, as evidenced by their willingness to help a client with a pregnant Rottweiler when "seven different locations" had turned them down. This deep understanding of the human-animal bond truly sets them apart.
Fair and Transparent Pricing: A critical differentiator is their commitment to fair and reasonable pricing, particularly for urgent care services. For euthanasia and individual cremation, their cost was significantly lower than other local urgent care options, and only slightly more than a regular vet, even on a Sunday. This financial accessibility makes quality urgent care a reality for more pet owners, preventing difficult choices based solely on cost.
Willingness to Help in Difficult Situations: The experience of Miracle's owner showcases ReadyVets' incredible willingness to help pets in genuine need, even when financial circumstances are tight and other clinics have refused assistance. This demonstrates a core value of true animal welfare, where "love for animals" translates into action, not just words, making them a lifeline for desperate pet parents.
Professional and Supportive Staff: Despite facing potential judgments, the staff at ReadyVets consistently provides professional and supportive service. The "young ladies at the clinic were wonderful and very helpful," ensuring pets receive the necessary care. This level of dedication, even when navigating complex human situations, is highly commendable.
Convenient Urgent Care Hours: While not 24/7, their operating hours until 10 PM most nights fill a critical gap in pet care availability. This extended accessibility means pet owners don't have to wait until the next business day for many urgent concerns, providing timely intervention and peace of mind.
Connecting with ReadyVets Veterinary Urgent Care is straightforward, ensuring you can easily seek assistance during urgent situations.

ReadyVets Veterinary Urgent Care Reviews
Highly recommend Ready Vets in Taylors for urgent care needs for your pet. We had to put our sweet dog to sleep today. Their pricing was $255 less than all other local urgent locations. They are not open 24/7 but do have hours until 10 pm most nights. They treated us with compassion and love, and most of all treated Jax with dignity. They only charged $145 more than our regular vet for euthanasia and individual cremation (includes wooden urn and clay paw print). I think that is very fair considering it’s a Sunday. Thank you for offering wonderful service along with fair pricing.
Jun 29, 2025 · Lauren BarkerThank You for Helping My Miracle, I recently ran into a situation with my almost 3-year-old German Rottweiler, Miracle, concerning her pregnancy. After emailing and calling over seven different locations seeking help, because I couldn’t afford the high prices they were asking, I sent out personal emails and calls — only to be turned down by everyone. It’s sad because so many vets and hospitals speak about their "love for animals," but when you’re truly in a tough situation, that love seems to disappear. We are new to the area, and relocating has been much harder than we expected — especially after losing my mother just three months ago. Things have been financially tight, but that hasn’t changed how deeply I love my Rottie, Miracle.Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the people in this area aren't very pet-friendly, and when they see a woman of color, they often assume you’re just a "backyard breeder." That couldn't be further from the truth. As someone who battles PTSD, depression, and self-harm thoughts, Miracle has saved my life more times than I can count. She is not just a dog — she’s my lifeline. No, I didn’t have the full amount many clinics required upfront, but I was willing to pay $200 immediately and make arrangements for the rest. Yet, I was treated like just another face — and that’s okay, because today showed me that kindness still exists. The young ladies at the clinic were wonderful and very helpful in getting Miracle the care she needed. The doctor himself was professional, although I did feel some judgment from him, like he assumed I was just someone who irresponsibly bred my Rottweiler. What he didn’t know is that Miracle was bred through AI (artificial insemination), not out of greed, but out of love and a desire to give back — to offer emotional support dogs to people like me who may be struggling. And even though today I may have looked desperate, the truth is, I am an author — with over 75 titles published on Amazon, including countless children’s eBooks, books, and audiobooks centered around animals and dogs. Miracle is even a bit of a celebrity in the dog world! So please, don’t be so quick to judge a book by its cover.I gave this visit 5 stars because, despite everything, they saw my Miracle when no one else would — and for that, I am truly grateful. When things improve, I plan to personally hand-deliver a collection of my books for your office to share with young readers. Look me up — you might be surprised!Thank you again for seeing my best friend, my biggest supporter — my Miracle.– Hilda WilliamsAuthor of Over 75 Titles | Designer of Over 180 Designs
Apr 26, 2025 · Hilda WilliamsI hope your cherished fur babies never require a visit to an animal urgent care hospital. However, if the need arises, I highly recommend ReadyVets on Wade Hampton Blvd in Taylors. During my visit, the woman who checked in my Rudi, along with the vet tech and the veterinarian, demonstrated immense kindness, respect, compassion, and empathy as I had to say farewell to my mini dachshund, Rudi.
Jun 02, 2025 · Linda Birnbaum10/10 They took the BEST care of my baby today. The front desk was kind, honest, and treat you like a friend. The vet examined my dog and figured out the issue quickly. The nurse took the time to explain everything to me including the bill, which was affordable! (They even offer a slight discount if you pay in cash.) I never felt judged. I 100% will be recommending this office to anyone and everyone. Thankful. Grateful. 💗😭
