Remedy Introduce
For pet owners across Georgia, the health and well-being of their animal companions are of the utmost importance. In a bustling city like Atlanta, finding a veterinary clinic that combines high-quality medical care with compassionate service and affordability can be a challenge. Remedy, a veterinary clinic supported by the Atlanta Humane Society, addresses this very need, providing a unique model of care that is deeply rooted in community service. This article is designed to give local Atlanta residents a comprehensive look at Remedy, from their mission to their services, helping you make an informed choice for your pet's health.
Remedy operates with a clear purpose: to keep pets in their homes by offering high-quality, affordable care. Their model is based on "care at cost," meaning the price you pay is what it takes to deliver the service, without an added profit margin. This makes them a vital resource for families who might otherwise struggle with the financial burden of pet care. As a new fur mom noted in a review, the clinic provides thorough care and is both responsive and patient, which is invaluable for new pet parents navigating their animal's health needs. Backed by the reputable Atlanta Humane Society, Remedy is built to serve families and communities, not just to generate profit. This mission-driven approach sets a different tone, focusing on accessibility and support for all pet families in Atlanta and the surrounding areas.
Remedy is conveniently located at 1843 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30317, USA. This location places it in a key part of the city, making it accessible to many neighborhoods, including the East Lake community. For local residents, Memorial Drive is a well-known street, simplifying directions and travel to the clinic.
Accessibility is a central pillar of Remedy's mission, and their physical location reflects this. The facility features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. These thoughtful amenities ensure that the clinic is welcoming and easy to navigate for all members of the community, regardless of mobility. While they recommend scheduled appointments to ensure efficient service, they do accommodate walk-ins depending on the day's schedule. This balance of structured planning and flexibility is designed to serve the diverse needs of Atlanta's pet-owning population, ensuring that care is available when it's needed most.
Remedy offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services designed to cover all aspects of a pet's health, from routine wellness to more serious medical issues. - Focus on Community: The clinic's existence is a direct response to the need for affordable care in an area that previously lacked it. Their focus is on keeping pets in homes by providing the necessary resources and support, which is a powerful community-building effort.
- Accessibility and Convenience: With appointments recommended and a user-friendly system, the clinic aims to make the process as smooth as possible. The physical accessibility features further underscore their commitment to serving a diverse clientele.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had this as a 4/5 rating but changing to 1/5 after our last visit. The team waited until 5:21pm to call us that our dog was ready. We are finished changing our newborn‘s diaper and changing his outfit but we got stuck in traffic. When we arrived, they wanted to charge a late fee and we said no. I had called three times throughout the day asking if my dog was ready. Around 3 PM I was literally driving right in front of the place on the way home, but she wasn’t ready yet. We left within 10 minutes of them calling us, but can’t control Atlanta traffic. They then wanted to hold our dog hostage and said that they would not give us our dog until we paid the fee. So we said fine. Call the cops. We are taking our dog home. After waiting 30 minutes and the cops not showing they finally gave us our dogSo much of why business is a success or failure comes down to the office staff. You could have an amazing vet, but if the office staff is hard to work with it, makes the business untolerable.
July 31 · Shannon EI got my Havanese, Pepper Amala 10/23. I have been taking her to Remedy for all of her health care needs. We are seen on time and her care has been thorough. As a new fur mom I have had lots of questions. They have been both responsive and patient with Pepper and I.
July 10 · Brenda ShaversI’m hesitant to tell too many people about the gem of a vet we’ve found. Have tried other vets in Atlanta and this is by far the best. The wait is never long and the prices are reasonable. The people make it the special place that it is. Front desk, vet techs, and vets are all so patient, kind, and caring to the pets and owners.Dr Johnson is the best and we are so grateful to be under her care.
April 01 · Marian AllenNew to Remedy and our 1st visit was great... from the front desk to the Vet herself, everything went well. Maximilian was comfortable in his new environment, and that made it even better he was happy when we left. I'm so happy I found Remedy. Great location, Good people! Maximilian approved 👌🏾 🙌🏽 🐶
May 02 · Tisha BallardI confirmed that they accepted walk-in’s via their Instagram page. Drove 30 minutes in the pouring rain, only to be advised they don’t accept walk-ins. I communicated with the receptionist that I confirmed via Instagram that they did accept walk-ins and I called several times at 930am and no one answered. The receptionist responded very nonchalantly “well I don’t know.” Unacceptable customer service and very unapologetic. I will not return and wouldn’t trust them to treat my pet with care and respect.
