★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1These guys saved my cat’s life from succumbing to urinary blockage . He was fully blocked and they saved his life with the limited funds I had available. (So for anyone saying they only care about money that’s just not true, if it was they would have turned me away. But they didn’t) the very experienced doctor found a way 🙏 forever grateful to her and every single person here I interacted with. Without them I would be mourning right now. They were also highly responsive whenever I called for updates on my pet or help with his aftercare medication. Thank you guys again . 10 stars
May 14 · J TorresI had the worst experience at this vet. First, I will say that the doctor was lovely and competent. However, the receptionist and vet tech were rude, unprofessional, and should never work in pet care. The receptionist who greeted me immediately told me (before I even told her what’s wrong with my dog) that “you’ve arrived during a shift change and you’ll have to wait AT LEAST an hour”, as if to encourage me to leave. She wouldn’t even look up from her computer to make eye contact. The vet tech then came out, said the same thing before asking any questions. It was as if they didn’t want to work and hoped everyone would just leave. The vet tech asked me one question, and that’s it - when I tried to give details she cut me off.We waited in the waiting room for an hour, my dog shaking and scared. When we go back to triage we wait another hour. The vet tech asks for my dog’s leash. I told her that he cannot walk. She yanks the leash on him and says “see? He can walk!” And haphazardly takes him with her. When she returns him she carried him like a rag doll and practically threw him at me. I later found out he has a neck injury. A person like this should never work with animals. I also heard her talking about me and being mean to my dog behind closed doors. She wasn’t even trying to not be heard. She was practically shouting. The doctor was helpful and professional. She seemed to be very knowledgeable, although I am worried now after reading these reviews. I told her about my experience and she made a face that told me “this happens all the time around here.” Again, none of this surprises me now after reading the reviews and the REPLIES from the vets and receptionist that work there. The receptionist (a different one) who checked me out was SO rude to the elderly man in front of me. The way she spoke to him was unacceptable.I will never ever go back here. Very few people in this building actually care about animals or their owners.
April 10 · Brooke ArringtonMegan and Dr. Hand were SO helpful and kind and patient. I brought my 18 year old cat into the vet today and they immediately took care of her. They recommended a lot of good options and were very thorough with explaining what was going on with my cat.
August 01 · Rachel HighOn what would have been my German Shepherd's 2nd birthday, I am heartbroken to share the tragic story of how he died 2 weeks ago under the care of the Village Vet clinic. Our dog, Chess, was seen by Dr. Patterson, Dr. Will, and other staff members. We brought Chess in because he was throwing up and dehydrated. His health was improving; however, after a staff member took him to the back for vital signs, his health rapidly declined. We knew nothing of this decline until we were asked to pay more money. While he was in their care, we were repeatedly denied access to see him, despite our constant pleas. Communication from the clinic was scarce and felt intentionally misleading.During this time, we were subjected to constant and increasing requests for payment increases, which felt like a predatory tactic to exploit our emotions. In the end, we paid $1190 but never received a clear explanation for Chess's death. We have requested footage from the clinic to understand what happened during the time he was in their care, but they have refused to release it. A staff member named Tomeka even admitted to watching the video herself. We believe Chess died a slow, unnecessary death as a result of the clinic's negligence and focus on profit over patient care.If you are a pet owner considering this clinic, please be cautious. I urge you to save your pet and your money. If you have had a similar experience, please reach out to us. We will be sharing video footage of our experience soon.
August 05 · Toya LoganI cannot express more appreciation and love for Dr. Calcutt. Very suddenly, we had to make the tough decision to put down our 11 year old cat and Dr. Calcutt was so extremely compassionate, understanding, patient, and informative. We are devastated to lose our baby but beyond relieved that her last hours were in the mercy and care of Dr. Calcutt.Everyone at The Village Vets was kind and patient with me and my grieving family while we discussed what was best for our cat and how to move forward. If (God forbid) either of my other two cats need emergency treatment, The Village Vets will be, without a doubt, the place I take them first.Thank you so much for everything you did for us! We are so grateful for your staff and the work you do!
