The positive experiences of other pet owners often serve as the best testament to a veterinary practice’s quality of care. Roselle Animal Hospital has received glowing reviews that highlight the compassionate and professional nature of its team, particularly mentioning Dr. Zink. One long-time client praised Dr. Zink as "the most caring vet we have ever had," reflecting a decade of trust and satisfaction. This same reviewer, who has experience with other local vet offices through shelter volunteering, confidently states that Roselle Animal Hospital is "one of the best."
Another review provides a powerful example of the clinic’s empathetic approach. A family brought in their elderly dog, believing they were there to have him put to rest. Instead, after a compassionate discussion with Dr. Zink, they chose to treat him, hoping to extend his time with them. The client’s description of the office as "reasonably priced, patient, and considerate" speaks volumes about the care provided. It is this combination of professional expertise, affordability, and genuine empathy that makes Roselle Animal Hospital a stand-out choice for pet owners in Illinois. They don’t just treat animals; they partner with owners to make the best decisions for their pets, even in the most difficult of circumstances. Their commitment to building relationships and providing personalized, considerate care is a primary reason why so many in the community trust them with their beloved companions.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr Zink has been the most caring vet we have ever had. We have been going here for over 10 years. We also volunteered with shelters who also used surrounding area vet offices. I feel this one is one of the best.
July 23 · Mark ParlantiWent in today to have my elderly dog put to rest. After discussing with Dr zink, my husband and I decided to treat Joe and hopefully keep him around longer. Reasonably priced, patient, and considerate are what we found this office to be. THANK YOU!!
July 17 · Angelica ChuhakWas very disappointed in this place. They had been treating my baby girl for several months before it was time to put her down. It was Memorial Day weekend when it was time to let her go, so of course they were closed. We chose to wait two days so we could take her to them because we figured it would be less stressful for her. Couldn’t believe how unkind they were. When they mentioned her weight I told them she had lost weight and was a pound lighter from the last time they weighed her. Asked the vet tech if she could have any idea what happened and she said with a rude tone “I don’t know! You’d have to ask the vet!” The vet came into the room and immediately said “so are we ready to do this?” Didn’t wanna give me time to say goodbye. I was in the middle of hugging my baby girl when he injected the pain medicine and she immediately passed, before even injecting the euthanasia. I’m assuming they disregarded my comment about her weight and gave her too much pain meds and it was an immediate overdose. My mom still cries about how horrible that visit was and how unempathetic the staff was. Even when I went to retrieve her ashes they didn’t even say “sorry for your condolences.” Had we had any idea of how cold the staff was going to be we would’ve just had someone come to the house to put her down. It actually would’ve cost us less money to do so as well. Really thought we finally found a decent vet, but we were wrong. Will not be taking my other fur baby there.
August 12 · Danielle PaulsonI don’t quite understand all the good reviews. Something feels so off about this vet office. The most recent time I brought my dog in for a booster; they didn’t even give me the option to be there with her for the vaccine. They took her to the back and brought her back out in less than 5 mins. Keep in mind she’s a baby and I would’ve like the option to be there alongside her for comfort. Also the first time i brought her here i mentioned to the vet she scratches at one specific ear a looot, he dismissed my concern by saying “dogs scratch” lol OKAY?! I wanted to make sure she didn’t have an infection. he also added that he had “examined her in the back already” okay well I want you to examine her in front of me because how am I supposed to know you actually did if you “do it in the back”. Very dismissive about things, I don’t appreciate this level of service at all. He took forever to come into the room and it was evident he wanted to be outta there asap. I wish they’d show some form of care or compassion for the sake of the animals they’re supposed to be caring for.. it’s so hard to find a good vet, but I don’t think this one is it.
April 30 · Jessica SanchezDo not bring your beloved pet here to be put to sleep when it's time. I accompanied my elderly mother here to have her dog put down. As any pet owner knows, it's horrible and heartbreaking to go through. The least you can hope is to have a compassionate doctor and staff to help your fur baby to cross over the Rainbow Bridge and to help support you.The techs took my mom's dog into the back to insert an IV catheter into his leg. As the dog was already highly distressed, he obviously was not happy with this procedure. We could hear him "screaming"...my husband could even hear him out in the waiting room! Of course, my mom panicked and was wondering what was going on. I called for a tech to come in the room. The tech told us that he was fine and was even wagging his tail. We knew this was a lie and that he was in distress. (He couldn't wag his tail in the first place because he was so sick plus the tech's body language was a giveaway, especially since she couldn't even look us in the eyes when she talked to us.) Why in the world they didn't give him a sedative first and/or let my mom be with him the entire time is beyond us.When they brought the dog back in the room, he was super agitated and couldn't be calmed down. The tech had to hold him from behind and my mother was touching his head and face and talking to him, to no avail. The vet walked in the room and all he had to say is, "He's not any better, huh?" (My mom had had the dog in the day before.) The vet went to put the sedative injection into the catheter without even explaining what he was doing. I was the one who had to ask, "That's a sedative you're giving him first, right?" He said yes and then immediately said, "Are you ready?" What?! He didn't even give my mom any time to hold and pet and talk to her dog while he was under the sedative, nor did he explain anything as to what he was doing or what was going on. He injected the final medication and the dog was dead in seconds. He took his stethoscope and listened to the dog's heart and said, "He's gone." Then walked out of the room. No, "I'm sorry", nothing. We did get to then spend time alone with the dog before we left.I hate to give a business a bad review when they have a lot of other good reviews. I'm assuming this is a good vet practice in general, but if you're looking to have your fur baby put down, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. As a pet owner who's had to have three cats put down in 6 years, I chose to have a mobile vet who specializes in at home euthanasia come to my house. It was the total opposite experience of what my mother went through at this place. At home euthanasia is so much more peaceful and compassionate. I am hoping this review will spare anyone else the trauma of what my mother went through.
