Safe Haven Animal Hospital Reviews
I spent the morning with Safe Haven, as my older cat has been having respiratory issues. They were able to see me relatively quickly and help me get the necessary medication for my guy before I left! However, my 5-star rating mostly comes from their overall clear care for their patients. In the time that I was in the waiting room, they came out to frequently update their patients (myself and others) on their pets, ask questions, provide advice for financial help, and create a friendly and caring environment (which is so important when you’re bringing your pet in for help!) Additionally, I was able to leave my appointment, with medication in hand, for a significantly lower cost than other vets in the Houston area were projecting just for care alone. I highly recommend Safe Haven, especially for clients who may be lower income. Thank you Safe Haven team!
Jul 05, 2025 · Caroline PuryearTook my little dog Eddie here for a neuter after it was recommended by a coworker. The staff and doctor were very compassionate and took excellent care of my baby. I would highly recommend it and will be back for all of my pups needs. They made me feel at ease and I want to thank you for doing the impossible.
Mar 02, 2025 · Tracy KnightWe were recommended Safe Haven by the SPCA wellness clinic to go to for a full service vet to have our cat’s dental cleaning and extractions done. We found our Lars in a parking lot less than two weeks ago and as two students, were worried about affording an expensive procedure before we could even get him insurance. Those worries are completely gone. Safe Haven were able to take excellent care of our Lars today and he came home purring and all cuddly. His painful chipped teeth were extracted and the rest of them are sparkling clean! The staff are clearly animal lovers and I was happy to see they were also bilingual and able to help pet parents in Spanish! Our dental procedure was extremely affordable and I am so grateful to have found them. We couldn’t have asked for a better hospital to take care of our new baby. Now he can start living his best indoor life without pain. I cannot recommend this hospital enough! We booked his surgery online, which was very easy to do but you don’t even need an appointment to see the vet, they take walk ins! This is the vet to go to if you are worried about affording your baby’s care. It’s so important that our pets (even the ones we found in parking lots) get the check-ups, vaccinations and treatments they need and this hospital allows everyone to access that kind of care at low cost. We are forever grateful for the team helping our little stray. Thank you so much for what you do ❤️
Jan 24, 2025 · Katharina BochtlerI seriously cannot say enough about why I love Safe Haven. Many low cost vet clinics offer routine care only, but SH offers such a huge range of procedures and care, some of which are pretty complex, that I never thought could be offered so low cost. The doctors and techs are all so so knowledgeable and kind and answered my many anxious questions. They have saved us multiple times, and most recently they saved our sweet kitty from a total urinary blockage. They are the only reason we were able to save our cat and not have to make the choice to euthanize. Everybody was so sweet and I know our kitty was loved on the whole time. These are really the most amazing people. Thank you from us and Tess!
Sep 28, 2024 · Katy WI want to thank the staff of this vet clinic for taking in our precious Harvey, he needed to be treated with urgency due to a blockage. We were referred by another vet which they could not do the medical procedure Harvey needed. Safe Haven kept updating us while Harvey stayed over night, gave us all the medication he needed, very affordable chip/neutering options as well.
