For pet owners in Maryland, and particularly those in the Waldorf area, ensuring your animal companions receive exceptional healthcare is a top priority. Our furry friends are family, and their well-being depends on a veterinary practice that is not only skilled and experienced but also deeply compassionate. The experience of a pet facing a serious health challenge can be incredibly stressful for a family. In these moments, having a professional and caring team on your side is everything. The staff at St. Charles Animal Hospital consistently demonstrates this dedication. As one grateful client shared, they needed an intricate anal tumor removal for their dog, Pebbles, and the team at St. Charles "got me in right away." The client was amazed by the speed and efficiency with which Dr. Newman and the surgical team not only performed the tumor removal but also took care of other issues, including removing "a lump on her head, 2 wort thingys and removed 14 teeth" all "the very next day." The review highlights the immense relief and gratitude of the owner, who felt their prayers were answered and praised the entire staff, from receptionists to the surgical team, for treating them "as if we'd always been with you." This level of responsiveness and care is a testament to the hospital's commitment to prompt and comprehensive treatment.
Another client’s review perfectly illustrates the personal and thoughtful approach of the team. During their cat Rocky's first visit, Dr. Neal made a point of getting to know the cat by asking, "So tell me about Rocky." This simple question showed the owner that the doctor was "interested in learning about our cat, instead of jumping into an examination." This personalized approach, combined with the gentle demeanor of a staff member named Nancy, left the client feeling that the care and compassion for cats were "apparent." These stories are a clear indication that St. Charles Animal Hospital goes beyond mere medical procedures to build genuine connections with both pets and their owners, fostering an environment of trust and comfort.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I called needing to know if they could do an intricate anal tumor removal. They got me in right away and my prayers were being answered very quickly. We saw Dr Newman, he checked Pebbles over and felt she was healthy enough to go through the surgery. Plus they removed a lump on her head, 2 wort thingys and removed 14 teeth. All this the very next day on Thursday!! God most assuredly answered all my prayers!!She came home and typical Pebbles asked for her dinner at 5:30!! So yes she had 1/8th C of dry food with omega 3 oil drizzled on it.I am so grateful for your entire team, from the receptionists to all on your surgery team and your techs! Everyone treated us as if we'd always been with you and because we've felt that Dr Newman was so very concerned about Pebbles health, we will be coming back after her check up on Monday and after her suture removal.I have been Praising God for ALL of you every day for saving our baby girl!! She is our baby as you all could tell. She's back to eating her dry food which is what Dr Newman was wanting. I now know that sadly it was her rotten teeth that made her not want to eat it.God bless you all!!
August 18 · Martha RamseyNancy's gentle way with Rocky was very much appreciated. Her care and compassion for cats is apparent. Dr. Neal took his time examining Rocky and explaining better nutrition options to us. When he greeted us for Rocky's very first office visit, he made a point of getting to know Rocky by asking, "So tell me about Rocky." This showed me that he was interested in learning about our cat, instead of jumping into an examination.
August 21 · Joanne MoffettThe staff are both very professional and personal. Everyone from front desk to techs with doctors in the middle are very knowledgeable and understanding. They take out the time to hear your concerns and then put in every effort to help. They love all the animals that come through (even non patients), trying to find loving families for strays brought in. The staff knows both you and your pets by name, even though they have so many patients coming through. The 2 most important things to me is when I come or call concerning my babies (whether it is just a nail clipping or a sick appointment) they jump right up to help you make the best choices for your pets. They love them up. All the awesome staff there put your pet first and give you and your pet their best!
December 07 · ReginaEasily my favorite veterinarian establishment in Southern Maryland. I really enjoyed the service that they presented me and my five pets and the level of knowledge the veterinarians and vet techs had on all of the animals that I took there. I truly appreciate them having patience with a few of my animals that have trauma from their previous homes!! Thank you
August 22 · Bella SOur first visit as a new client was outstanding and very welcoming. The staff was very informative and eased my dogs anxiety being at a new Vet.
