Towson Veterinary Hospital Inc Reviews
My normal vet was booked and my cat has been sick for the last couple of days, so I was thankful when Towson Veterinary Hospital had an opening for today and could see me right away on my day off, I quick understood why this vet had an opening when no other office had openings for at least a couple days. Dr. Ron Sand was absolutely rude and pretentious. He rambled on about different disease my cat MAY have then had the nerve to recommend Feliway and/or Gabapentin for my cat when I bring him again because he was agitated after the staff man handling them while taking his vitals. I complained as I was leaving about the treatment myself and my cat received from the vet and they agreed that he doesn’t have a demeanor in which a medical professional would interact with a professional. They suggested I see the other vet next time. I do one better and never come back. As the saying goes “I wouldn’t let him see my dog”. Not to mention, the office was disgusting and the exam room looks like something out of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. That mixed with the mistreatment from the examination staff, it’s no wonder my cat (who is always calm and collective) was upset.I should say, I give five stars to the medical staff at the front desk, they all go down from there.
Mar 05, 2025 · Dylan SchevelAt first I was kinda wary of them cause of some of the reviews. I tend to be over protective about my fur babies and only seek the best for them. My worry was quickly put aside when I entered, they made sure to communicate with me about step by step instructions on my fur babies medication and they answer all my questions and reassured me when I worried about their health. I’m not huge on leaving reviews but i felt that they were not given the credit they deserve. Yes, maybe it’s a tad bet more expensive, but let’s face it you pay for what you get. I STAND by my choice of picking them as my go to place for my babies. I completely trust them. I do advise you to ask about everything if your as worried as I am. I ask for a detailed receipt and always ask for a detailed health report and they ALWAYS help me. Some people I’ve noticed receive what they get. You can’t be RUDE to these lady’s and expect them to happily answer your questions. They are always sweet and caring and always give love to both of my dogs. I honestly can’t believe I was scared of being my dogs here cause of people lying and making a bias story that makes them seem as if they are in the right. I will honestly be forever grateful that they care a lot about easing my worries and caring for my pups health.
Feb 12, 2025 · LizbethAbsolutely horrible customer service! Tiffany at the front desk is atrocious and rude!I will start by saying I am a seasoned dog owner, I’ve had my dog for 12 years. My family and I moved to the Towson area from PG county earlier this year. Transferring from our previous office Union Vet in DC- whom we loved. Towson Veterinary Hospital is very convenient to our new home, and my hope was that we’d found a new home for vet care. I was incredibly wrong.Today I noticed that I was charged for a wellness visit after just having a wellness visit 3 weeks ago- this fee was assessed for booster shot administration, and apparently because it was a Saturday appt there was no way around it. The issue I have is that nobody in the office communicated this to me at the time I made the appointment. Nor did anyone tell me that I could have scheduled my dog for a tech visit on a weekday and avoid the fee.Upon calling them to communicate my concerns I was met with defensiveness and attitude from the front desk staff, Tiffany. Ultimately she gave me excuses as to why I was charged and told me it was my fault that I didn’t book a tech visit. I asked for her name and the office managers name and she replied, they aren’t in, the doctor is in a visit and I will have to wait for a call back- and she hung up the phone!I promptly called the office back and spoke with Rachel, a very kind member of the front desk staff, who has excellent customer service skills. She was very transparent about the issue and has assisted me with sorting things out. She will put me in contact with the office manager early next week and the expectation is that I will receive a refund for the wellness visit- that my dog didn’t need- on Monday.Despite Rachel’s efforts, I’ve requested my dogs records and I will not be returning to this office for future care.As a new member of the Towson community, I can confidently say I’ve had wonderful experiences thus far. This has been an exception to that and I can only advise that pet owners in the area AVOID!!!

Jan 13, 2025 · Gloria WintersNot to sure how i feel about this vet anymore. I feel like they take advantage of people. They don't ask enough questions. They just do things to add on to your bill. I don't recommend this place. And I will be looking for a new vet for my dog and I.
