Trail Pet Hospital Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is my long overdue review for Trail Pet. They are all wonderful people and helped me save my boy. This is Crab. In November of 2024 he was missing for a day and some hours. When he came back he was limping horribly. I knew his leg was broken. I took him to VEG and they determined without us knowing what happened to him, that he was most likely hit by car. The following day, I took him to my primary, City Vet. They did scans and showed me that his femur was broken. They told me surgery was possible and they quoted me 5 thousand dollars for the repair. Their next quote was 3 thousand for amputation. I told them I could come up with the money but if there was anything I could do to keep him stable till then, I would do it. They ordered him a splint and we did bandage changes every 2 weeks and check Ins to monitor any bone growth. Little did I know (until I got to trail pet) they never set his bone in the splint properly. They just slapped it around his leg so he could be comfortable without it dangling. By that time it had already been a month and I had spent over 1k just to have nothing done for him. On my last phone call with City Vet I was fed up and immediately went on a hunt for a better place. I found a surgery center that couldn't help me, but they gave me a list of places that could, and they highly recommend Trail Pet. I called as soon as I hung up with him. Dr. Suh, of Trail Pet, is an amazing man and he is very straight forward no matter how hard it is to hear some of the news. He told me his leg would absolutely have to be removed. They quoted me 3 thousand for repair surgery (which we knew was no longer possible at that point and if I did choose repair, he would have had many more follow up surgeries) and 1,500 for amputation. 2x less than my primary. In January 2025 his surgery was completed. Unfortunately he got an infection from licking under his bandage. It was a mess. I took him back to Trail Pet and they took care of everything nearly for free, as they did not want to see a successful surgery go downhill. All they charged me for was one extra round of pain meds. All his antibiotics were free. All his antiseptic wipes, draining of the infection, laser treatments and check ups they provided me for free. They also gave me holistic advice on keeping his would on the right path of healing. In 2 weeks the infection was completely clear. It is now June of 2025. He is 100 percent back to his normal self, other than the phantom limb, he is doing just fine. He still tries to scratch with his left leg, so we have to assist him with grooming on that side. Other than that he is an independent Crab. Thank you guys so much for taking care of him and not giving me the run around for my money.
June 22 · Briana IncognitaWhen my dog suddenly started vomiting blood in an emergency situation, I called this animal hospital in a complete panic. Even though their schedule was fully booked, they didn’t hesitate to take my dog in and provide immediate care. The vet and the entire staff acted quickly and professionally—thanks to their swift response, my dog’s life was saved. In the following week, before our next appointment, they called three separate times just to check on how my dog was doing. I was deeply touched by their genuine concern and kindness. They not only cared for my dog, but also offered comfort and reassurance to me during one of the most difficult and emotional times in my life. Their compassion and dedication went far beyond what I expected. I will always be grateful for the care and love they showed us.
April 21 · Kay LeeWe brought our dog Sandy in yesterday and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the very first text, the staff was quick to respond, eager to help, and got us in right away. Everyone—from the friendly front desk team to the kind intern nurse to the knowledgeable doctor—was amazing. This was my first time dealing with a pet hospital, and I was honestly bracing for a huge bill. While we did put down a $700 deposit, they ran the necessary tests, treated Sandy, and got her feeling better—all for around $300. The doctor clearly knew his stuff and made us feel confident and reassured with his recommendations. We’re so grateful for the care we received and highly recommend this place to anyone needing veterinary help! 🐾❤️
July 12 · Lindsay JMy cat had been suffering from repeated episodes of idiopathic cystitis, and it was heartbreaking to see him in so much pain. That’s when I found Dr. Suh. Thanks to his skilled hands and care, my cat successfully underwent a PU surgery. Just four days after the operation, he’s recovering incredibly fast — eating well, playing happily, and urinating without any issues. We are finally enjoying peaceful and happy days again. I highly recommend this place!
June 25 · Kathy ParkDr Suh is the most knowledgeable and very caring vet I have ever used. He has treated my pup for years. His care is over the top she is over 14 years old and doing wonderfully because of his amazing care’. He did stomach surgery last year after she ate something that caused blockage. I was sure I would lose her but he pulled her through to a healthy pup. I would give 10 stars if I could!
