★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Ring saved my dog's eye. My pup, Louie, had a scratch that developed into a very painful eye ulcer. We tried antibiotic eye drops with my local East Texas Vet, Dr. Bohanon, but when that didn't take, she referred me to this Dallas clinic as experts. We initially tried different eye drops with Dr. Munger, and when the ulcer burst and Dr. Munger was unavailable, Dr. Ring was available and she recommended surgery (the local East Texas animal emergency clinic only could do eye removal...). Dr. Ring performed the corneal graft surgery in a couple of hours in late October 2024. Louie had about a 6-week recovery, and by late November, his graft seemed to be fully healed, with no pain. The little guy is now as happy as he ever was, when before the surgery, he was utterly miserable and in pain with that ulcer. The staff was very helpful and kind. Dr. Ring was very thorough in post-op visits, and in monitoring and prescribing medications. Thank you, Dr. Ring. I am truly grateful for yours and your clinic's help.
January 28 · Sravanesh MuralidharIn 3 seconds Dr. Ring removed a thorn from my cat's eye! No sedation. Just numbed his eye and pulled it out. I was so elated. I had to drive over 2 hours for the appointment because my local vet didn't have the correct equipment to safely remove the thorn. Totally worth it!
January 17 · Joanna StrychalskiI am deeply saddened to share that my beloved dog, Lulu, passed away on March 22, 2024. Lulu was a beautiful soul, full of kindness and love. Unfortunately, she experienced significant pain following a cataract surgery performed at this clinic, which I believe contributed to her passing. In the days leading up to her final moment, Lulu, who normally loved her meals, stopped eating entirely. My poor baby tragically dropped in weight from 9.3 pounds to 7.3 pounds within just two days. Beginning the day after her surgery, she exhibited alarming symptoms: excessive drinking, constant sleeping, an inability to stand, and she couldn't even lift her head. We reported these symptoms to Dr. Ring the following day, only to be reassured that such post-operative behavior was normal. As her condition worsened, we reached out to Dr. Ring's office multiple times, only managing to speak directly once and that too, not with Dr. Ring but with a technician. Despite our concerns, we were repeatedly told everything was normal and that her discomfort was due to dislike of the neck collar, affecting her mobility. This explanation didn't hold, as Lulu's mobility issues persisted even without the collar. In a desperate attempt to seek another opinion, we found ourselves unable to secure an appointment with another vet due to full schedules. When we pleaded with Dr. Ring's office for an urgent consultation, the response was dismissive; we were advised to seek help elsewhere despite our inability to find available appointments.Ultimately, we had no choice but to take Lulu to an emergency vet. After hours of suffering, my sweet Lulu passed away, with me by her side the entire time.We sought cataract surgery for our beloved dog because her joy in life was playing with balls, something she hadn't been able to enjoy due to her deteriorating eyesight. Our deepest wish was to see her playfully chasing balls once again, just like she used to. It's profoundly saddening that she never had the chance to engage in her favorite activity even once after the surgery, up until her passing. Following Dr. Ring's advice, we refrained from allowing her to play for six weeks, a directive aimed at her recovery. However, had I known the tragic outcome this decision would lead to, I would have chosen differently. The thought that she missed out on her cherished pastime in her final days is utterly heartbreaking. This experience has led me to urge others to carefully consider their options before proceeding with treatments at this clinic. The lack of attention and care from the medical staff here has left me heartbroken, feeling that they prioritize financial gain over the well-being of our cherished pets. Please, think twice to avoid potentially facing the devastating loss of your beloved companion.I'm painfully aware that no review I write will bring my beloved Lulu back to me. The deep sorrow in my heart remains unassuaged. I firmly believe that if Dr. Ring's office had taken seriously any of the numerous questions and concerns I brought to them, Lulu might still be with us. Even a single examination or a moment of genuine attention could have made a difference. My trust in this vet eye specialist weighs heavily on me with regret. While Dr. Ring is an eye specialist, she did not hesitate to remove a growing cyst on my dog’s tail, stepping beyond her specialty when it suited her. Yet, when I sought basic veterinary care like fluid support or cerenia, she declined, citing it was outside her scope. This inconsistency troubles me deeply. I find myself unable to sleep, haunted by a continuous replay of guilt for having taken her to Dr. Ring. How could my Lulu be seen merely as a product? I've yet to encounter a vet who truly places the welfare of pets first. To me, Lulu is a family, not a product.
March 30 · Justin BaikDr Munger did an excellent job on my Shitzu eyes keratomalacia and Corynebacterium caused by a trauma. I thought my dog was going to lose its corneal by this ulcer. A Bullous keratoplasty cover up his left eye. He is doing better and still going for follow up but hi.s eye is at 80%. No surgery, a culture was performed and yielded Corynebacterium sp. Great caring hands guided by God bless.
April 05 · William MitchellI live a few hours away so I really appreciate that they always work around my schedule when I make appointments to get my dog seen. I love that the staff seems to genuinely enjoy seeing my dog come in, they always compliment his smile and easygoing disposition. We’ve had nothing but good experiences with them, highly recommend!
