UrgentVet Reviews
I brought my dog here for end of life comfort/care. She had cancer and had an appointment scheduled with her regular vet, but declined over the weekend and was very uncomfortable. I brought her here thinking they could make her comfortable until her appointment with her vet, but it was too late. They had informed me that she was passing and her body was already shutting down. My family and I were understandably devastated. The staff here was so informative and clear, yet so compassionate, patient, gentle, and kind. They recommended euthanasia so that she didn’t have to suffer any longer. They guided us through the process prior to beginning, answered all of our questions without judgment, and went at our pace. Their bereavement room is so calming and homey. It doesn’t feel sterile or cold like an exam room. The living room style setting allowed our sweet dog and us to feel more comfortable and calm during the process. Lola passed away peacefully in our arms after the doctor administered the medication. Before she passed we were able to give her lots of treats that were stocked in the bereavement room including a Hershey kiss… every dog deserves to taste chocolate once in their life. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness and empathy during such a traumatic and devastating time. I’m so grateful for the way my family and my dog were treated.

May 19, 2025 · Lifestyle Of MochadeliciousI had to visit UrgentVet for the first time over the weekend. I can't thank the staff enough for their efforts. I had a sick cat and they welcomed us with open arms even though they were supposed to close the office within the hour. They were in constant communication and worked as fast as they could. My cat received great care and they even followed up two days later to check in. Seems like they have a great group of people working there. Hoping that my cat doesn't have any other emergencies but I would definitely go to UrgentVet first if he does! Thank you all!
Jun 23, 2025 · Bobby RaymondiYesterday Saturday 3/8 my old black lab Anna (,almost 14 years old) was extremely ill and couldn’t stop vomiting. My vet was out of town. A neighbor told me about Urgent Vet on Dodge Street in Beverly and I was so extremely impressed with their services! I was so desperate for help!! I’m a retired nurse and feel I’m well qualified to evaluate medical service and competency!! It could not have been better at this place. What a great alternative to not having to drive all the way to Woburn for people on the North Shore!!! Linda greeted us warmly and took significant time with me to get a thorough detailed history even though they were busy! She was efficient and pleasant and so helpful. Dr. Duffield was fantastic.. knowledgeable, really caring and competent and made sure I understood everything he said from explaining lab values and their indications to post appointment care. My old girl was treated kindly and compassionately. She has pancreatitis but I feel confident she is receiving the best treatment possible. She’s home with me now and eating and drinking in tiny amounts every 3-4 hours and holding it down. Her diagnostic work up and treatment was really comprehensive. They truly care. I could not recommend worth any more sincerity or enthusiasm. If you get Dr. Duffield and Linda you will be doubly blessed. I rate them a #15 on a 10 point scale. Melody Henderson
Mar 09, 2025 · Melody MancinelliAt one oh the hardest time in my life, we felt the caring and kindness of the Vet technician and the Doctor Veterinary at Urgent Vet on June 30, 2025. The day we had to let my prince Tiger cross the Rainbow Bridge. I left the Urgent Vet, with a heartbroken for our loss, but relieved for being assured it was the kindest decision I took in let him go. The warmth of the professionals and the worlds of the doctor assured it will be the best for him, have the doctor aside him and my daughter at the room, while I was bowling my eyes outside, showed us her love for what she does.If I am not wrong Natalie Vet Tech and Dr. Nicole, thank you so much for your attention and kindness
