I brought my dog here for end of life comfort/care. She had cancer and had an appointment scheduled with her regular vet, but declined over the weekend and was very uncomfortable. I brought her here thinking they could make her comfortable until her appointment with her vet, but it was too late. They had informed me that she was passing and her body was already shutting down. My family and I were understandably devastated. The staff here was so informative and clear, yet so compassionate, patient, gentle, and kind. They recommended euthanasia so that she didn’t have to suffer any longer. They guided us through the process prior to beginning, answered all of our questions without judgment, and went at our pace. Their bereavement room is so calming and homey. It doesn’t feel sterile or cold like an exam room. The living room style setting allowed our sweet dog and us to feel more comfortable and calm during the process. Lola passed away peacefully in our arms after the doctor administered the medication. Before she passed we were able to give her lots of treats that were stocked in the bereavement room including a Hershey kiss… every dog deserves to taste chocolate once in their life. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness and empathy during such a traumatic and devastating time. I’m so grateful for the way my family and my dog were treated. - Jacynda Pena
