★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been taking my pets here for almost 30 years and I have never had anything other than exceptional care. My pets have always looked forward to coming to see all their favorite techs and vets!
July 21 · Gwenn OlsonI have a 10.5 yr old Schipperke boy, Rocky, who has been part of my family since he was a pup. This was Rocky's first vet experience and I have to say it went extremely well. Each staff member treated Rocky & I well. They were very professional and friendly which made Rocky less anxious. Dr. Forseth was wonderful in explaining details of treatment and acknowledged my concerns. The visit was smooth as in no long delays, great communication, and reasonably priced services. I look forward to Rocky continuing to be seen here for his wellbeing and longevity of life with me here in the East Bay. Thank you staff and Dr. Forseth for a pleasing experience for Rocky.
August 12 · Christina EveIm not sure what happened with he quality of care here but we have been bringing our dog to VCA for close to ten years and were happy with the care she received up until recent months. We switched to a new vet and have noticed a huge difference in how they do things from how they explain what lab results mean, how much things cost, how long it takes to refill prescriptions, their support with submitting necessary documentation for pet insurance reimbursement, and most importantly how long it takes to complete an appointment. Im so happy with our new vet, I wish we would have switched a long time ago. VCA is inefficient and takes forever to do anything, makes big mistakes in scheduling appointments, adds services to invoice that I didn't ask for without my consent -- always check for the nail trim. I dont like leaving negative reviews but I am just done with them and really disappointed by the run around and lack of care for my dog who they were monitoring for high kidney values for weeks and weeks waiting for them to come down. I should have taken her elsewhere sooner, to another vet who would have been more proactive. One day she woke up I no pain and I had to bring her to the ER where she was hospitalized for two days. They said her kidney values were so high and off the charts they were unreadable. That she had about a year to live. She had just been seen at VCA in recent weeks and they never raised concern about this level of severity. The negligence, I just dont even have words for it. The VCA vet who was monitoring her was Dr. Barisione. Weve worked with Dr Lew before and he was awesome. But in our dog's last year we want her to have the best care possible and not take any chances so we won't be bringing her to VCA again.
