VCA Midpark Animal Hospital Reviews
We came to this clinic for a second opinion for some challenges our senior dog was facing after experiencing less than satisfactory empathy and concern from her primary vet. The vet who saw our dog was empathetic and listened to our concerns, and handled our baby with the utmost care. After a quick X-ray, they identified the source of our concerns immediately. Unfortunately, the test revealed an insurmountable health challenge that left us devastated. The gentleness and empathy they provided us to absorb the discovery meant the world to us. They were able to provide a referral to an incredible company that let us say goodbye to our girl at home. The staff of this hospital sent a heartfelt card to express their condolences when we lost our girl, even though they only saw her once. This tragedy in our family concreted that we will only use this clinic moving forward for our furry family moving forward, due to the high level of competency, care, empathy, and professionalism. We want to thank Dr. Kinscher and her team for everything they did to ensure we were well informed and could make the right decision for our baby.
Mar 09, 2025 · Jasmine LiuI was satisfied with my experience. I had to have my 12 year old Dog put down due to medical reasons. Mar 03, 2022 · Food By ImaginationI just brought my cat to this place, and after being told to put him down I did some more research on the hospital. To find out my cat wasn’t even seen by the actual vet but by a vet tech who only has 2 years of experience under her belt. I was told he was diagnosed with a condition called FIV. The vet tech here claimed a supplement of L-Lysine that I had just started giving him was the reason why his liver was failing. A friend of mine with a cat with the same condition was advised to start giving their cat this same supplement, and since starting on it ( roughly 1 year ago), has improved REMARKABLY and is back to her normal self. I can find nothing online claiming l-lysine is harmful to cats, and in my opinion was a completely unprofessional, dishonest, and quite honestly rude remark to make that the l-lysine caused my cats liver to fail. A MUCH more reputable vet (North Royalton Animal Shelter) was who advised my friend to start to start on the L lysine supplement. These people here have zero idea what they are talking about. My cat was a pure bred Persian who was only 3 years old. I miss my best friend so dearly and to find out he wasn’t even seen by the vet and that I didn’t even speak to the actual vet is heartbreaking and frustrating in itself. Rest in peace to my baby boy..
Aug 16, 2024 · Inge RakThis is a great vet for your animal for vaccines or a sick pet . My cat had an abscess in his leg and , I called same day appointment they took care of him . They give the course of treatment and the cost up front . They accept Care Credit and all major credit cards. The have taken care of two of my cats and they are great ! They discussed any other problems my cat may have and explained the medicine they were injecting in him . The price was reasonable for the type of problem my cat had . Thanks much VCA Midpark conveniently located off Smith and Sheldon RD.
Oct 16, 2019 · jrock 1975Several things turned me off about this place. First was they overcharge you big time. $93 for a few sedative pills? Pass. $130 for an antibiotic shot?! Wow. So they weighed my cat on floor in exam office, then let her run under the bench where you sit that was dirty under there, and where my (flea free) cat could of picked up fleas from other animals that hid under it. Should of done that on exam table ...very strange. And they did NOT offer senior discounts of any kind. I asked, and would of qualified. There is more but bottom line is will not be returning.
