Sandstone Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr. Smith and her staff all are fantastic. My Lido had been going to Sandstone and unfortunately fell very ill. They always got me in quickly as symptoms progressed and when the time came to let him go, Dr. Smith and her staff helped my boy cross over peacefully and were very compassionate towards me. My cat Dalila is a current patient and I have a new puppy that will also make Sandstone her home for all her veterinary care.
Jun 16, 2025 · Pamela EnglandWe have 5 cats and 1 dog, and then there's us "hoomans." In today's economic climate, our family, unfortunately, has to prioritize who will eat, what we'll eat, and what bills to pay, or not. The struggle is real! And when one fur baby gets an ear infection, so do the others. We've addressed 3 of our 5 kitties that had suffered from this infection, and I'm impressed with the overall care and interactions. The staff is kind, understanding, and mindful. The veterinarians and their assistants are knowledgeable, caring, and professional. Sandstone Animal Hospital itself, after relocating down the road and redesigning the interior layout, presents with a wonderful contemporary/ modern design, is clean, and appears to be designed with the animals in mind. (Such as lowered windows and poufs for pets to look out the window, a pet-friendly bench and seating area. Don't forget "Hemi" (the Sandstone feline CEO) is still greeting guests and comforting other pets who aren't feeling well! (even though he wears a "grumpy" expression unconditionally) the staff offers coffee or water, the service pace is very acceptable, and this business is very accommodating to one's needs. Wheelchair/disability access and parking are also available. They provide a variety of services for a decent price. I absolutely recommend Sandstone Animal Hospital for your pet's veterinarian needs.
Feb 15, 2025 · Allison BaleDr. Elish, Dr. Smith are fantastic. We switched from our longtime vet office to Sandstone to have Dr. Elish provide care for our sweet pittie. My dog is having skin issues. The staff and vets have called numerous times to follow up between appointments. We are very happy with their non-judgemental, supportive care.
Apr 23, 2025 · Heather GoldbergThe administrative and front desk workers are incredibly unprofessional and seem disorganized and have been unfriendly to me during both a couple of visits, generally seeming stressed and disorganized or short staffed. Submitting and getting a response for insurance was a pain and they took forever to respond. Only one exam room now that they share the space with another business. Also, never got much communication from vets on anything we had our dogs examined for and when we went in for X-rays for our dog and repeatedly told them we need to stay with her and then she’s calm and easy, they took her in the back without us regardless and then told us they’d need to fully tranquillize her to get the X-rays. Our German Shepherd has NEVER feared the vet and after almost 30 minutes in the back with the techs, came back red-eyed and panicked. They weren’t able to capture any Xrays. My husband said he isn’t comfortable with full tranquilizer and they didn’t respect his request to help and stay with her (because she would have been super easy to handle and capture images if one of us was with her). Needless to say, he told them he’s not comfortable paying a $45 charge they tried to bill us for nothing but trauma to our dog and nothing else to show for such a bill. Our poor girl then proceeded to vomit the remainder of the day. I am absolutely appalled by the lack of empathetic care and terrible administrative staff at Sandstone Vet! They seem to have forgotten their love of animals. I do not recommend.
Jan 15, 2025 · Jessica PescatriceMy cat hates everyone but me. Everyone at Sandstone is always so gentle and friendly and I (and my cat) have always had the best experience at sandstone compared to all the other vets we have tried over the years. Sandstone is my vet now and has been for years now. Couldn't recommend anyone else!
