Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in North Carolina, the well-being of our animal companions is always a top priority. When it comes to veterinary care, we seek not only medical expertise but also a welcoming environment and a team that genuinely cares. In Kernersville, NC, one option for local pet owners is Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital. As part of a larger network, this facility aims to provide comprehensive veterinary services, catering to a range of needs from routine check-ups to more advanced medical interventions.
Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital strives to offer accessible veterinary care, often providing online booking options to streamline the appointment process for busy individuals. Their services are designed to address the various stages of a pet's life, focusing on preventive care to keep pets healthy, as well as diagnostic and treatment options when illnesses or injuries arise. The goal is to be a convenient resource for pet owners in the Kernersville area, offering a location within Petco stores that can be a one-stop shop for pet supplies and healthcare.
However, like any service, experiences can vary. For North Carolina residents considering Vetco Total Care, it's important to weigh both the convenience and the direct customer feedback. Some local users have highlighted positive interactions with the veterinary staff, praising their kindness and concern, particularly in stressful situations. This indicates a dedication to compassionate care on the part of the medical team, which is a crucial aspect for any pet owner seeking a trusted vet.
On the other hand, some experiences shared by local patrons point to challenges with communication and scheduling flexibility, particularly concerning the interaction between the clinic's on-site staff and off-site call centers. These insights suggest that while the medical care itself might be commendable, the operational aspects of appointment management could sometimes present hurdles for pet owners. Understanding these varied perspectives is key for Kernersville locals to determine if Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital aligns with their specific needs and expectations for veterinary service.
Ultimately, choosing a vet is a personal decision, and for those in North Carolina, especially in the Kernersville area, understanding all facets of a clinic's operation, from the medical care provided to the logistical aspects of scheduling, is vital in making an informed choice for their beloved pets.
Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital is located at 1080 S Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284, USA. This address places the clinic within a Petco store in a prominent area of Kernersville, making it relatively easy to find for residents. South Main Street is a well-trafficked road, offering direct access from various parts of Kernersville and potentially surrounding communities in North Carolina.
The co-location within a Petco store offers a degree of convenience for pet owners who might also need to purchase pet supplies or food. It positions the veterinary service as a convenient extension of a familiar retail environment. However, some customer feedback indicates that while the physical location might be accessible, the operational accessibility, particularly regarding communication and appointment flexibility, can sometimes be challenging. Customers have reported difficulties reaching the clinic directly by phone, with calls often routed to an off-site call center, leading to communication delays and issues with rescheduling or late arrivals.
For pet owners in North Carolina who live a significant distance away, such as 30 minutes or more, this communication structure and a strict policy on punctuality could pose a challenge, especially during typical rush hour traffic. The clinic's stated hours of operation are generally Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a standard timeframe for appointments. While online booking is available, the ability to resolve immediate scheduling issues or communicate directly with on-site staff appears to be a point of concern for some local users. This means that while the physical address is straightforward, the overall accessibility experience may depend on individual circumstances and the nature of the visit.

For pet owners in Kernersville, North Carolina, Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital presents a particular set of considerations when choosing a veterinary provider. Its suitability for locals depends largely on what aspects of veterinary care they prioritize. For those who value the convenience of a location integrated within a Petco store, offering a potential one-stop solution for both veterinary services and pet supplies, this clinic might be an appealing option. The online booking system also offers a streamlined approach to scheduling routine appointments, which can be a plus for individuals with predictable schedules.
Furthermore, the positive experiences shared by some customers highlight the compassionate and caring nature of the on-site veterinary staff, with specific mentions of doctors and assistants who show genuine concern for the animals. This human element of veterinary care—the kindness and professional demeanor of those directly treating your pet—is a crucial factor for many pet owners and suggests that the quality of medical interaction can be high.
However, it's essential for Kernersville residents to be aware of the operational feedback related to communication and scheduling. The reported difficulties in directly reaching the clinic by phone and the strict adherence to appointment times, even in cases of unavoidable delays like traffic, might be a significant drawback for some. Locals who anticipate potential scheduling challenges, or who prefer direct and immediate communication with their vet's office, might find these aspects less accommodating. Ultimately, if a pet owner in North Carolina prioritizes a convenient location and has a high degree of scheduling predictability, while also appreciating the hands-on care provided by the veterinary team, Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital could be a suitable choice. For those for whom flexibility and direct communication are paramount, it would be wise to consider these factors when making their decision.

Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital Reviews
This place is beyond unprofessional. I had a 5:30 PM appointment for my puppy, Nova, and called multiple times to let them know I was running late due to traffic — I live 30 minutes away, so delays happen, especially during rush hour. Not one single person at the actual clinic answered the phone — only an off-site call center who had to get in contact with the staff at this location. I was then told I had to reschedule, even though they don’t close until 6 PM and Nova’s appointment was for a quick round of shots that takes less than five minutes. Make it make sense. And this isn’t the first time. On a previous visit, I arrived at 12:05 for a 12:00 appointment, and they turned me away. I had tried calling ahead then, too — same issue. No one answers. No one communicates. Not even the off site call center could reach the staff. They seem more concerned with enforcing petty rules than actually providing care or showing basic courtesy.I’m driving half an hour to get there, trying to be responsible by calling ahead, and still being treated like I’m in the wrong for being a few minutes late? Completely unacceptable. The fact that there’s no way to directly contact the clinic, no flexibility, and no real customer service is a red flag. I won’t be back. Save yourself the stress — take your pet somewhere that actually respects your time and knows how to treat people.
Jun 26, 2025 · Saharra ModesteI was very happy with the care my pup received. I was worried when my new puppy appeared sick in less than 24 hours of bringing him home. I was able to book online for the next morning. They were so nice and concerned about Arlo. Dr. Joyner and Kenna were so sweet. Honestly the best experience I have ever had with a vet and will definitely be back!
Nov 05, 2024 · Jo’s legacyHad a great experience with genuine friendly staff that started all the way from the beginning. The front desk was a pleasure to work with (shout out to Nikole, Kenna and Pri). The vet Dr. Joyner and Dustin made sure my anxious dog was comfortable and took time for her to warm up to them. Such a great experience and happy to know my dog is in good hands with the entire team!
Mar 20, 2025 · Anna ShoemakerI can see that people mostly have positive experiences here, but I'm genuinely shocked to see that. While the front desk and support staff are great, I have a lower opinion of the doctors on staff. My cat, a feral we recently took into our home who is generally sweet and loving, hissed at both doctors he saw here while he was a patient, but as soon as I was able to get him in with our regular vet, he literally laid down for her and purred. So my cat definitely wasn't the issue. Additionally, the doctors at this practice cleared him of giardia and roundworm after a round of medication and doing a follow-up fecal test. They said I was clear to remove him from quarantine and let him interact with my other cats. It's been a little over two weeks since he was last there, and he has lost two pounds and threw up a roundworm yesterday. I'm afraid he's given the parasites to my other two cats, and I'm just hoping we can get things fixed with all of them before more damage is done. Please do not take your pets here.Edit to add: They were going to charge me almost $700 for a neuter. Our regular vet charged just a little more than $400, which still included all the testing and extras that they quoted me at Vetco.
Mar 11, 2025 · Sierra BrowningDO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. First don't try to call and get prices because despite having a dedicated line to ask for pricing they refuse to give you even a range. Out of necessity for a close vet open on the weekend I took my 2 year old dog here for what was a textbook UTI (occasional hematuria, straining while peeing, more frequent urination). We were told bringing in urine sample from home is the best and easiest method. Only to get there and have them refuse to run urinalysis. They wanted to do a cystocentesis, but I could not in good conscience allow for anything invasive given how dirty the office was and the concern from previous reviews for unsanitary conditions. After saying we will take our dog somewhere else, they finally agreed to run our sample only to find out no results for 3-7 days. They refused to give broad spectrum antibiotics in the meantime to help relieve discomfort while we wait for results. They also denied a topical antibiotic until urinalysis results came back. Finally, I read the discharge summary, and it explains that we refused to accept any antibiotics. Never have I been to a place so money hungry with zero care for the dogs well-being.
