Veterinary Eye Specialist of Long Island Reviews
My cat, Jinxey's veterinarian referred me to Dr. La Croix to treat her for her sudden blindness. My husband and I were so impressed by the compassion displayed towards Jinxey by Dr. La Croix and her incredibly sweet Vet Tech, Danielle. Dr. La Croix was very professional, understanding and patient with our concerns and answered all questions regarding Jinxey's condition. I would highly recommend Dr. La Croix. She and her staff are true Angels. BTW, the office is very clean as too.
Feb 26, 2025 · Alicia Escalante PolizottoOur 18 year old Burmese cat Cassius developed a melting ulcer in his eye that quickly progressed. Our regular Vet and my husband called all over Long Island to fine an Opthalmologist that could see Cassius right away. Not only did Dr. La Croix get him in the very next morning, she recommended steps to take over night to try to save his eye. The next day we drove an hour to Veterinary Eye Specialist of Long Island to see Dr. La Croix. As soon as we walked in, Dr. La Croix greeted us warmly and said she would be right with us. From that moment on we knew our kitty was in good hands. Dr. Croix treated Cassius as if he was her own baby, she kissed him and wrapped him in a blanket that soothed him and calmed him down. The Vet Technicians were equally as soothing and loving. Though Dr. Croix did everything she could to save his eye, it was too late the ulcer took his sight. Dr. La Croix called our vet and together they agreed on a care plan. Dr. La Croix and her staff are angels and true animal lovers. We are forever grateful. We even bought the blanket that they so lovingly swaddled our kitty in. The amazing care did not stop when we left the office, Dr. La Croix was readily available to speak to us as often as needed in the early days of Cassius’s recovery.. We are forever grateful.
Feb 16, 2025 · Geanine BerkDr. La Croix is truly the best! My dog was seeing a different ophthalmologist & was diagnosed with an eye tumor & needed surgery. They were able to get me an appointment quickly. I switched to using Dr. La Croix & I can confidently say that it was the best decision I made for my dog. My dog has now had two surgeries here (eye tumor removal/ third eyelid extraction & eye enucleation) & both experiences were phenomenal.Dr. La Croix is thorough, genuine, intelligent, well-researched, and the very best ophthalmologist. It is easy to see how much she loves her job and all of her patients. My dog had some bumps in the road after his first surgery such as not eating, drinking, etc and Dr. La Croix checked in (call, text, email) at ALL hours for days after his surgery to make sure he was okay and gave advice on things to help. After my dogs second surgery, she was away at a conference & still checked in to make sure my dog is okay. She is truly one of a kind and goes above and beyond. I honestly wish she could see my dog for everything. Not only is Dr. La Croix the best, but her staff is truly amazing and kind. Danielle, Gerard, Kathleen, Ruby, & the entire team are all the best. They're all so good with my nervous boy. They're all compassionate and just truly good at what they do. It is easy to see how much they care about the babies they take care of each day. They're well trained in anesthesia & medications, which made me less nervous about my dogs surgery. My dog is my entire life and I don't trust many people with him and I feel very comfortable knowing Dr. La Croix & her amazing team are taking care of my boy. I could go on for days about how much I love Dr. La Croix & her entire team.
Oct 28, 2024 · Jill DeSimoneDr. La Croix and her staff are outstanding! My appointment was scheduled without much wait even though it was so close to Christmas. The entire staff was incredibly kind and compassionate. Everyone treated my dog as if he were one of their own. My only complaint is that they specialize in ophthalmology and can’t be his primary veterinarian. This crew is aces! My boy and I thank you all for such an amazing experience!
