Virginia Veterinary Centers Short Pump Reviews
Sailor was in for an MRI of his back and was in surgery that afternoon. Dr Young was kind and explained his back issues so I could make a sound decision on surgery or not. He called me later that afternoon to let me know surgery went well and he would call the next morning with an update and time to pick Sailor up. I picked him up at 1100, received some discharge instructions and brought him home walking much better. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Customer service is the best. They are the best.
Jul 07, 2025 · Deborah MartinVVC Short Pump is a beautiful facility with the most welcoming front desk staff. Our appointment was specifically with the Dentistry service. Scheduling was very easy and I was so thankful that they took into consideration our prolonged travel time when performing my dog, Angus', procedure. Dr. Babbitt was friendly and clearly quite knowledgeable. He made the extra effort to consult with both the Neurology and Anesthesia services to ensure that they were well prepared for the procedure, given the myriad of other health concerns Angus has. And I also very much appreciated that Taylor, the veterinary assistant, kept me informed while Angus was there for the day and also called to check on him the day after the procedure. Overall, an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend this facility!
Jun 09, 2025 · Erin SlaughterVery caring staff, amazing communication with each other and their clients. It’s pricey, but they are state of the art/modern and you’ll get the care you’d expect. Thank you for helping diagnose the myriad of issues with my cat, Turtle!! Thank you for taking such good care of her.
Jun 02, 2025 · Michelle VMy 11-year-old dog survived sepsis because of the whole team. He was in their care for 6 days and every doctor, assistant, receptionist, and staff member were so helpful and answered all my questions. This was an expensive road, but I really don’t think he would have survived without them.
May 29, 2025 · Katherine V.Our mischievous Maggie climbed up onto our dining room table in our absence and ate an entire 3.5 oz dark chocolate easter bunny! We took her to our vet, who induced vomiting but recommended that we take to to the Vet ER at Short Pump for evaluation, because her heart rate was 200. Dr. Conners and thd ER staff were awesome. They brought her heart rate down to normal with fluids. Dr. Conners did a terrific job explaining the plan of care, potential risks, time frame. Al of the staff were professional, kind. Fantastic facility. We are so grateful to the ER staff that her recovery was uneventful, and she was released to us around midnight. A great experience, given that we were incredibly stressed and afraid. Early intervention is key-don’t hesitate to seek ER care fkr your pets!
