Wards Corner Animal Hospital Reviews
This doctor saved my dog's life. Eli was 9 weeks old and had parvo. I was completely broke. He was in terrible shape and considered having the poor baby put down. But the doctor reassured me they would save him. Three days later I took my puppy home. Eli is now 80lbs and the best dog you could ask for. They even worked with me regarding payments, no other vet would have done this in that manner. I cannot even describe how grateful I am. God bless you, Dr. Henehan!
Apr 01, 2025 · Chromatic GeckosFriendly, clean atmosphere. Got my dog into a room immediately, without needing to sit in the waiting room with other animals (Freya appreciates that as well). Emerald took excellent care of Freya and explained the bloodwork to me thoroughly (nothing was wrong, just wanted to get a baseline with newly adopted dog). Thank you to dr. H and teammates who helped as well. Ya all are great!
Apr 25, 2025 · Laura Kay CliftonI had a terrible experience during a last minute emergency visit with my cat. While the front desk staff were helpful, the vet was misleading. They spent only two minutes with my cat, called it a physical exam, and then administered shots without discussing the costs beforehand. I was shocked to be charged almost $300 for two shots and a bag of "prescribed" food that's cheaper and better on Amazon. When I returned for the same issue, both vets rudely told me my cat would always have this problem and pushed their expensive food as the only solution. They didn't even take a stool sample to confirm if my cat actually had IBD. I refused to buy the food and left furious. Seven Hills Pet Clinic will always be my go-to, and I deeply regret ever coming to this horrendous clinic."
Jun 24, 2025 · LenaVet Henahan has been our families veterinarian for around 19 years. He is absolutely the BEST! He cares so much for ALL animals and gives them the very best care. He KNOWS what he is doing when it comes to animal care. He has over 30 years of experience! The pictures show some of our family’s dogs that have seen or still see Vet Henehan. Some have passed & he and his staff were so comforting and caring. Thank you Vet Henehan! We appreciate you!
Jan 08, 2025 · Dawn ReckI just want to say that I am not giving this one star review to the front staff -they were lovely and very understanding. This is strictly towards Dr. Henehan and his treatment towards me, my mom, and my two ferrets, Moe and Eva. I came in on Saturday and told Dr. Henehan the symptoms of both of my ferrets, that they were lethargic, throwing up, and had diarrhea- but I was mainly concerned about Moe as his stomach was distended and I didn’t know if there was a blockage or not. Dr. Henehan immediately took Moe and felt his stomach and said that it wasn’t a blockage but fluid in his abdomen. He offered to do an X-Ray to which we agreed. He showed up after with Moe saying that the X-Ray indicated that there was fluid in there and he knew what it was- a virus found in one out of three ferrets that is always fatal and that Moe was going to die. He said that he could drain the fluid but it would be no use because the fluid would just come back and that we’d have to come back every week to drain it. After that, he asked about my ferret Eva and if she was eating at all- to which we stated that she was. We asked if she had the same thing as Moe and he said that it was likely and to just keep an eye on her to see if her symptoms worsen. So my mom asked what the next steps were and he said “well I want to put that one down today (points to moe), and I want you to keep an eye on the other one.” My ferrets are living beings with names and he treated them like they were nothing but gum on the bottom of a shoe. I also noticed that he was trying hard to get rid of us as there were other patients but he was nothing but rude to us so we decided to reschedule the euthanasia and get a second opinion. So I went to a different veterinary clinic - All Creatures in Amelia- and it turns out all of my ferrets have coccidia and Moe had NO free fluid in his abdomen. They did an ultrasound and a fecal analysis to determine the illness- they didn’t do an X-Ray and make assumptions like Dr. Henehan did.I will never come back to Wards Corner- Dr.Henehan almost killed my ferret when he misdiagnosed him. I should have done further research on this vet as he clearly doesn’t specialize in ferrets or other exotic animals even though he said he does. He lacks compassion and will do anything to get more money out of you.Oh and by the way this whole visit cost me $310 dollars for an X-Ray and four shots while my visit to the other clinic cost me $380 with even more testing and antibiotics- and they treated ALL of my ferrets not just one.
