Law Office Aquariums is conveniently located at 3233 Arlington Ave # 103, Riverside, CA 92506, USA. This address places them within easy reach for residents of Riverside and the broader Inland Empire region of Southern California. Arlington Avenue is a significant thoroughfare in Riverside, making the shop easily identifiable and accessible whether you are traveling from nearby neighborhoods or coming from cities like Corona, Moreno Valley, Norco, or Jurupa Valley.
The location typically offers convenient parking, which is crucial when picking up delicate marine life or bulky aquarium equipment. Its placement within a commercial area means it's generally easy to navigate to, avoiding complex turns or hard-to-find side streets. For California aquarists, the strategic positioning of Law Office Aquariums minimizes travel time, allowing for more frequent visits to check on new arrivals, seek expert advice, or simply enjoy the mesmerizing displays. This accessibility contributes significantly to its suitability as a local resource for the marine aquarium hobby.
- Extensive Aquacultured Coral Selection: A vast array of high-end SPS (Small Polyp Stony) and LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals, with a significant emphasis on in-house aquacultured varieties (often referred to as “Sharkbred corals”). These corals are grown on-site, making them more resilient and accustomed to tank life, providing a much higher chance of success for hobbyists.
- Meticulously Quarantined Marine Fish: A limited but carefully selected inventory of saltwater fish that undergo an incredibly rigorous and comprehensive quarantine process. This includes multiple treatments with Formalin for Uronema, Praziquantel and Metronidazole for flukes and other diseases, and copper treatments for Velvet and Ich. Customers are even informed about the specific stage of the treatment process for any fish they are interested in, with recommendations to return later if the fish has not completed its full quarantine.
- Imported SPS and LPS Corals: In addition to their aquacultured offerings, they also stock a selection of high-quality imported corals, which are quarantined for at least a month and thoroughly inspected for pests before being sold.
- Aquarium Equipment Sales: Retail sales of equipment from some of the finest aquarium and equipment manufacturers in the world, providing customers with access to high-quality products for their setups.
- Custom Tank Builds: Expertise in designing and constructing custom aquarium setups, catering to specific dimensions, aesthetic preferences, and system requirements.
- Professional Aquarium Service: For customers in the Inland Empire, they offer professional aquarium maintenance and service to ensure optimal health and appearance of your marine display.
- Expert Advice and Consultation: The team, particularly Richard, provides invaluable tips and advice on maintaining optimal water parameters, managing pests, identifying and treating diseases, and successfully keeping demanding coral and fish species.
- Unmatched Fish Quarantine Protocol: This is a paramount highlight. Law Office Aquariums employs one of the most thorough and effective fish quarantine (QT) procedures in the industry. They treat for a wide range of common and severe fish diseases (like Uronema, Brook, Velvet, and Ich) using a multi-stage process, significantly reducing the risk of introducing pathogens into home aquariums. This level of care is rarely found in standard local fish stores and is comparable to high-end online QT services, yet they maintain competitive retail prices.
- Extensive In-House Coral Aquaculture: A vast majority of their corals are aquacultured on-site, meaning they are already adapted to captive environments. This results in hardier corals that are less stressed and more likely to thrive, a significant advantage over wild-collected specimens. Many mother colonies have been in their systems for 10 years or more, demonstrating stability and success.
- Diverse Coral Selection: They offer everything from "old school OG corals" to the "newest and brightest grafted ultra corals," catering to both seasoned collectors and those looking for unique, vibrant pieces.
- High-Quality Sourcing: For their fish, they specifically source from Quality Marine, noted as one of the best wholesalers in Southern California, ensuring a strong foundation of healthy specimens even before their rigorous QT process.
- Knowledgeable and Passionate Staff: Richard, in particular, is highly praised by customers for his extensive knowledge, willingness to share valuable tips, and genuine passion for the hobby. This expert guidance is invaluable for both beginners and advanced hobbyists.
- Community Trust and Reputation: The consistent positive feedback from real customers underscores their strong reputation in the Southern California marine aquarium community as a reliable source for healthy, high-quality livestock and expert advice.

Law Office Aquariums Reviews
I won some nice sps frags at an auction at a crazy low price. Richard gave me some pretty good tips and advice on where to keep my parameters to be able to keep sps successfully. Totally recommend this place for high end SPS frags.
Dec 11, 2024 · Max HernandezRichard and this shop are awesome! LOA is one of the best shops in all of SoCal. He has a huge selection of corals and a least 90% of the corals on offer are aquacultured in house. This is a huge deal for the longevity of the pieces you buy because they are already accustomed to tank life and are actively growing right up until the point you take them home. Hardier corals plus reduced transportation stresses make these much more solid pieces to bring home. The selection he has on hand is vast. He has everything from old school OG corals to the newest and brightest grafted ultra corals. Not only are the corals awesome, the procedures Richard takes with fish are amazing! Because of space requirements and the risk involved with storing fish, LOA has a limited selection of fish at any one time. Richard can source just about any saltwater fish you ask for though. Unfortunately, fish disease is extremely prevalent in the hobby and it should be assumed that every fish you buy has a high chance of carrying disease. Many diseases like ich are relatively harmless but I have seen more and more fish nowadays carrying truly nasty diseases like uronema, brook, and velvet. I have even encountered velvet that was resistant to 2.5ppm of copper power. These diseases if introduced to your display tank can entirely wipe out multi thousand dollar fish collections and cannot be eradicated from a reef tank. Even by going fallow. Richard’s approach to caring for fish gives me huge piece of mind when buying new fish. There are several things he does that make LOA exceptional for fish:1st he sources fish from Quality Marine the best wholesaler in SoCal.2nd he treats the entire fish system and fish with Formalin repeatedly. This is one of the only treatments for nasty uronema.3rd he treats the entire fish system and fish with praziquantel and metronidazole. Great for flukes and other diseases.4th he typically treats the entire fish system and fish with copper for velvet and ich.5th he tells you where in the treatment process the fish you are looking at are. If you see a fish you like that arrived recently. He will recommend you come back a few weeks later so it can finish treatment.Fish disease is crazy and no fish can really be guaranteed disease free. But these 5 things Richard does at LOA make purchasing fish from him a much safer bet. It’s also crazy that Richard charges normal retail prices for them. I’ve purchased fish from boutique online fish QT websites and the fish are often 3 - 6x the price. Richard’s fish prices are still on par with other LFSs in the area. The only other brick and mortar shop in California that takes this level of care with fish is High Tide Aquatics 400 miles away in the Bay Area.Law Office Aquariums is truly an amazing LFS. It’s very rare to find a shop that does both fish and coral this well.
Jun 07, 2025 · Jeremy BucherOn multiple days I call no answer, i show up on the times they say they are open and no one is at the store. Take your business elsewhere not worth the time.
Mar 14, 2025 · Eric CastorenaSuper healthy fish and corals. Richard is super helpful and there’s tons of selection. Would highly recommend!
Jun 07, 2025 · Zoey DowFirst, I wanna start out by saying this review is long overdue. Richard is one of a kind, standup guy if you’re looking for a truthful, honest no bullshit local fish store with more than fair prices and beautiful corals look no further I have been to just about every store in the inland Empire and I can honestly say Law Office Aquariums is my favorite and I will continue to do business with Richard. you have to see it for yourself to believe it Richard is not just another salesman trying to sell you everything under the sun. He will tell you what you need and what you don’t need. Thank you, Richard for always making my experience pleasant.
