June 11 · VCReviewsDr. Gill has provided exceptional care for our dog Emma throughout her entire life, and we couldn't be more satisfied with his expertise, calm demeanor, and accessibility. His thorough knowledge and gentle approach have given us complete confidence in Emma's healthcare. The entire staff is professional, friendly, and accommodating, making every visit pleasant and stress-free. While the facility may not have all the bells and whistles of newer clinics, what truly matters is the quality of care—and that's where Dr. Gill and his team consistently excel.
June 20 · Megan BennettDr. Gill has been our dog Ringo’s vet for the last 4 years. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff at Central north animal Hospital. Ringo was recently was diagnosed with an ailment. Dr Gill’s treatment is very conservative and did not rush us in to anything without discussing options and costs. His charges are also reasonable compared to many name brand animal clinics. He is a skilled surgeon and our dog recovered well after the procedure. Overall we have had a very positive experience and highly recommend North central animal hospital.
June 29 · Vignesh PandikaranAbsolutely heartbroken after 25 years of loyalty. My family has been seeing Dr. Gil at A Central North Animal Hospital for over 25 years. We never had major issues, but we also only ever came in for basic needs—until recently, when things took a devastating turn. Our dog Alexander was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor after over $2,000 in tests. We were never given more than the diagnosis—no reports, no clear direction, no treatment options. A week later, after a suspected internal bleed, we went to an emergency vet who, for just $125, gave us a full workup, an actual written report, and recommended medication that brought immediate relief—something Dr. Gil never mentioned.Even more disturbing, the emergency vet—probably 40 years younger than Dr. Gil—clearly explained that surgery was next to impossible and would likely kill Alexander. Dr. Gil still recommended it, quoted us a very unrealistic $800–$1000, and advised it needed to happen "immediately"—then left on vacation for over a week, delaying the surgery. He never once suggested we go elsewhere for urgent care.By the time of surgery, Alexander’s tumor had more than doubled in size. Despite that, Dr. Gil gave us no warning, no risks, no odds—nothing. Just confidence that this was the right move. We dropped off our sweet boy that morning, expecting to pick him up by 3pm. Instead, we got a call during the surgery that it was “more extensive than expected.” Shortly after, he was gone. We were told he went into shock, needed oxygen, and crashed as soon as it was removed. He died a traumatic death—alone, confused, and scared.Even worse, before Alexander passed, Dr. Gil told my mother she’d need to take him to an overnight vet post-op. How was she supposed to do that with a dog in critical condition? We never received written documentation, aftercare instructions, or honest conversations in all our years here. I believe Dr. Gil acted out of pride or greed, not in Alexander’s best interest. That’s a betrayal we’ll never forget. We trusted this clinic for decades. I urge you not to make the same mistake. Look for a vet who communicates, who provides transparency, and who puts your pet first—because this one didn’t.
