Ahwatukee Commons Veterinary Hospital Reviews
An awesome Vet clinic for your pet! I appreciate their extra gentle handling of my dog and cat. They always come out happyWith that being said, it comes at a cost, at least $70 every visit for a physical checkup, not including treatments/vaccines.TLDR: Great place for your pet, but not for your wallet
Sep 04, 2024 · Jesus SotoI have been bringing my pets to Dr. Elliot since 1981. Now 40 years later I am still bringing my pets to her, Rebecca and her staff. I love their sincere love and concern for my pets. They have gone over and beyond for my pets. I adopted a kitten at Pet Smart last year and my little Lovey had so many problems but it was too late I loved her. She had herpes in her eyes, parasites and tremors. I love that they not only recommended specialty vets but also called to check ion her. She is doing amazing now. I know that people complain that vets cost too much but at Ahwatukee Commons they show you what their costs are and why. I have Never felt that they suggested services that weren’t needed. I highly recommend them.
May 25, 2025 · Kathy ZookWonderful office, has the most caring staff. You feel at home there, and you know that they’re there to assist you, and take care of the one that means the world to you.Dr. Housley is absolutely amazing!
Jul 25, 2025 · Andrea ToroI do feel they are extremely over priced. I wanted to set an appointment for a spay and was required to do a full blood panel, fecal test, up to date on vaccinations (which I can understand) and pay just to be seen.Aside from that, I knew she had an ear / yeast infection and paid for that exam as well. When the young lady came back in and told me it would be 125 per ear (for medication. Excluding the ear exam) I let her know I’d rather go through chewy as it was 38 dollars for the bottle. (Yes longer prescription time but still worked and saved me 200 dollars.) I felt like I was arguing with her for 2-3 minutes before I finally said “I’m not going to keep going back and forth with you.”The dr came back in and thoroughly explained the differences in prescriptions and allowed me to go through chewy. Which I greatly appreciated. But had the lady before been able to explain differences in product, timeframe for each and such, I do think it would have been a different experience and an easier process to “upsell.” I was already irritated. After my deposit I paid 400 dollars not including the chewy prescription. Mind you, majority of this was required to be done before I could even schedule / get a quote for the spay. They didn’t want to quote me on the spay until they made sure her blood panel came back appropriately. a few days later I called back for the quote and For the spay itself, They quoted me upwards of 730 for a 64 lb dog.I have called 2 others who both are charging 290-375 including cone/e collar, anesthesia, a wash before the surgery and pain meds to take home. And neither places required blood and fecal tests to be done before the spay.So frustrating. I’m sure they’re lovely with your pets. But the wait times are absurd and they are 100% overcharging patients.
Jun 04, 2025 · Brittany ZuercherI have been a client of Ahwatukee Commons since I moved to Phoenix 9 years ago. I feel my pets, including dogs and cats, have received excellent care by both doctors Elliot and Housley. I highly recommend Ahwatukee Commons.
