Pecan Grove Veterinary Hospital Reviews
I have been with Dr. Edwards and Pecan Grove for almost 15 years. I don’t have words to describe how much I trust and respect Dr. Edwards and her practice. Her staff is amazing, kind, and understanding of all my pets needs and little “quirks”. Dr. E loves my little mutt dogs as much as I do, especially my little chihuahua mix.She always ensures that any questions or concerns I have are answered and she will always give it to me straight and not suggest treatments or therapy routes that she doesn’t think are beneficial.Even though I moved away from Tempe long ago, I still drive the 35mins from North Phoenix to go to her and her team b/c I wouldn’t trust my pets with anyone else!
Jan 25, 2024 · Emily WingerI love this office. Everyone is so nice and attentive. The doctors are very kind and sweet and informative. They also have great options for payment options! Such a lifesaver to have no interest payment options via third party. (Like klarna)
Apr 12, 2025 · Tashena ArtunianAbsolutely love Doc Edwards and her staff. They are able to trim my cat's nails without having to sedate her (I didn't think that was possible.) Neither of my dogs has been a big fan of the vets office, until Doc Edwards. Zeke loves to go just to see he favorite lady.I can't recommend Doc enough. She is very knowledgeable but doesn't talk down to you. And the staff is very friendly. When my mom's dog passed, her vet was on vacation so I called Doc and they were able to take Mollie Dollie and handled the details with care and empathy.
Jun 13, 2023 · Katie Haushalter6/29/23 - We dropped in at Pecan Grove to have our dog Dolly weighed early this morning and at last minute needed her nails trimmed. They clipped her nails and buffed them!!! The staff is always so helpful snd friendly. They were happy to get this done for us even though we didn’t have an appt. We love Dr. Edwards and her staff. ❤️
Jun 29, 2023 · RegnerfamilyZeke had to hv an $8,000 knee reconstruction surgery shortly after his last appt at Pecan Grove due to the damage done to him during his procedure there. TWO years later Dr. Edward's office reaches out to me and asks me to call them?! They HAVE my number! Bottomline, this is all that anyone needs to know about this HORRIBLE AND DISREPUTABLE Vet! IF U LOVE UR PET, FIND ANOTHER VET!++I initially decided to go to Dr. Edwards for Stem Cell Therapy (SCT) for my grandpup which is a 5 yr old, 120 lb, Rottie named Zeke.Unfortunately Zeke has a genetic deformity of his hip due to irresponsible/irreputable breeders that sell puppies thru“Puppyspot”.In the meantime,I was so excited to find Dr. Edwards & hoped SCT wud make a huge difference for my sweet Zeke.Initially it did make a difference but it also caused Zeke to overdo it while playing w our other dogs cuz Zeke felt better due to the SCT. This caused the“good results” to boomerang&caused Zeke to revert back to his pre SCT condition & perhaps even worse.I had already decided to get Zeke follow up PRP shots w Dr. Edwards to help enhance the SCT.For ea treatment Zeke needs to be sedated as these shots had 2 go straight into his hip joints.Zeke’s recovery fr the SCT & his first PRP treatment was quick & easy. He had his 2nd PRP treatment this past Tues,11/15/22,however,when I picked him up I was told her wud be limping a bit. When asked how long, I was told a couple of days (I was shocked as I expecting to hear “maybe a couple hours”-max).Then I realized that Zeke cud not even put weight on his back right leg @ all.He was standing there on only 3 legs & holding his right back leg completely off the ground.I asked why this was happening cuz it this was nothing like what Zeke had experienced during his last two appts (the SCT appt & his 1st PRP shot). So I was really surprised to see Zeke completely unable to bear weight on his right back leg.I was given no further “after care” instructions.Dr. Edwards didn’t even come out to see me this appt or the previous one.I had also asked Dr. Edwards for a very competent orthopedic surgeon referral for Zeke & all I got was a handwritten note to a surgical center that has several surgeons.I was really hoping for a specific, well experienced ortho surgeon referral. As I was leaving I fortunately had help fr one of the Staff to load Zeke into the car otherwise I cud have never gotten him in my vehicle in the condition he was in.☹When I brought Zeke home he crawled into his doggie bed & did not move for 24 hours. He refused all treats, food, water & his tongue was hanging out of his mouth the whole time he slept. He even peed himself & his bed cuz he was in too much pain to go outside. If anyone knows Rotties they NEVER have potty accidents & have high tolerance to pain. I finally put a leash on Zeke & coaxed him to go outside so I cud clean up his bed & have him go #2.He did go #2 w much difficulty due to not being able to squat & came right back in&laid back down in his doggie bed again. He dragged himself outside one other time yesterday to go potty but did not move for the next 12 hours.I had to coax him to eat & ended up hand feeding him a cup of his favorite food (usually he devours 4-6 cups of food a day) ☹To make matters worse I never got a call fr Dr. Edwards or her office to check on Zeke to see how he was doing the following day after his procedure-this was despite the fact that he was in what I wud consider “poor condition” when I picked him up. This & the fact that Dr. Edwards had not come out to see me @ my last two appts is very unsettling to me. I have no idea if she was even in the office during Zeke’s appts/procedures. I have honestly never had a vet appt – especially for a procedure - & not had the vet come talk to me for @ least a couple moments @ the time of pick up in order to give me an update on how things went. Zeke is still lethargic & starts to cry when I leave his side til I come back. I just don’t understand why there isn’t any follow up call the next day after a procedure, or any type of care &/or concern for the pet.
