This commitment to triage means that pets in immediate, life-threatening danger receive the quickest attention, which is fundamental to emergency medicine.
- Life-Saving Care: The most significant highlight, as evidenced by testimonials, is their ability to provide life-saving care. The story of Sherlock the cat, who "is still alive and I have Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital to thank for that," powerfully illustrates their impact.

Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital Reviews
I brought my very sick cat to Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital. They were very thorough about taking his temperature, which was over 104, drawing blood that indicated that he was dehydrated. I figured that because he had stopped drinking water and he wouldn’t eat. The doctor kept me updated on what was happening with my cat, who had an infection in his mouth. He always kept me updated on the cost which I thought was high. He gave me a choice of hospitalization at $2500, or taking him home with an injection of antibiotics that would last two weeks, liquid to keep him hydrated from his back; and two other antibiotics to administer as directed. That was $900 as the doctor told me. I chose to take my cat home because he would be more comfortable and I didn’t want to pay the hospital cost. That was about a week ago and my cat is doing well now. I am very happy with the care and instruction that was given by the doctor and his entire staff. They were all very helpful and the receptionist was very personable that made me feel at ease. I would give this hospital five stars but the price is higher than I expected but I understand that they have to pay for the expensive equipment that they use to help my cat, Sherlock. My cat is still alive and I have Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital to thank for that! So I updated the rating to 5 stars. Further tests have proven that Sherlock was born with FIV and it’s deducted by the fact that he has not suffered any severe bites.
Jun 24, 2025 · Susan ThomasWe recently brought our dog, Toffee, to this emergency animal hospital after she injured her paw and needed stitches. The staff was incredibly kind and took excellent care of her—she was treated gently and professionally, and we really appreciated the clear communication throughout the process. The only downside was the wait time—we were there for about five hours for six stitches. That said, we understand that in an emergency setting, more critical cases have to be prioritized, and we’re grateful that so many pets are getting the help they need.Thank you to the team for taking such good care of Toffee when she needed it!
May 12, 2025 · Lauren CookWe had such a great experience here from Dr. Duck and everyone on the staff that we interacted with! Everyone was very kind, thoughtful and patient with us and our pup. They were even very kind to answer our questions before we even drove there so that we knew the best thing to do for our dog. All of them showed great care and love for our dog and we would 110% bring her here again! Dr. Duck is especially amazing and our favorite vet that we have ever met!!
Jan 12, 2025 · Austin RhodesThis is the 2nd time I’ve brought one of my fur babies in on the weekend for an emergency visit. My 14yr old yorkie Sadie, had been sick and took a turn for the worst over the weekend and obviously was dying and we called Airport Freeway Emergency Hospital and got her right in. My baby was able to pass over the rainbow bridge while in my arms with my father and daughter in the room. The Staff, Tech and Vet - everyone was so caring and their prices were very fair especially over the weekend. I highly recommend!Update🤔 I should have originally given them 5 stars
