Animal Eye Associates of St. Louis- Ellisville Introduce
For pet owners across the greater St. Louis region and throughout Missouri, the eye health of a beloved companion is a serious concern. When a pet faces complex or progressive eye conditions, the need for a specialized veterinary ophthalmologist becomes paramount. Animal Eye Associates of St. Louis-Ellisville stands as a dedicated referral practice, providing the highest level of advanced care specifically focused on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases in animals. Unlike a general veterinarian, this clinic operates with the specialized expertise, technology, and advanced surgical techniques required to manage conditions that threaten a pet's vision, comfort, and overall quality of life.
The hospital is home to dedicated specialists, such as the highly professional and caring Dr. Zimmerman, whose expertise in veterinary ophthalmology is evident in the remarkable outcomes they achieve. The clinic’s approach is a blend of precision medicine and deep compassionate care, ensuring that both the pet and the owner are supported through challenging medical journeys. The staff takes the time to provide great advice and ensures that owners fully understand their pet's condition and the personalized treatment options available.
A powerful testament to their impactful work is the case of a puppy from the APA, who suffered from trauma-induced glaucoma and severe discomfort. After attempting months of drops without success, Dr. Zimmerman performed an enucleation (eye removal) to alleviate the pain. The resulting client review praises the team's amazing and supportive nature, noting that after the successful procedure, the puppy immediately started showing signs that she was significantly happier. This example perfectly illustrates the hospital's mission: to utilize specialized advanced care and surgery to give pets a better, more comfortable life, even in the face of irreversible conditions. For any Missouri pet parent seeking expert, compassionate eye care, Animal Eye Associates of St. Louis-Ellisville offers the focused and dedicated service their pet deserves.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I got my puppy from the APA and she had undergone trauma to her eye leading her to become completely blind in her left eye, she had multiple eye diagnosis including glaucoma which was making her pressure in her left eye become high. We tried drops for months to keep the pressure down but my pup was still slightly uncomfortable. We ended up removing her eye and Dr. Zimmerman did a fantastic job with the surgery. My puppy girl ( after she healed and got her cone off) immediately started showing signs that she was significantly happier. I’m so thankful for Dr.Zimmerman and her staff for being amazing and supportive and giving my pup a better life. May 14 · Stephanie Nichole

- Our dog, Macie, has been seen by Dr. Kelli Zimmerman for two years now. We have been through so much with her. She is very knowledgeable and I trust her judgement. She is a wonderful doctor who cares deeply about her patients. I am so thankful for the care she has shown towards our girl and us. She has been the silver lining to our terrible situation with our dog’s condition. I will be forever thankful for her. October 03 · Lyndsey Evans
- Dr. Meredith and Emily were truly a blessing to us and our beloved Jill. Just hours before our vacation, Jill had an emergency with an advanced corneal ulcer. They managed to see us the same day and provided several treatment options. While we understand that specialty services can be costly, this team went above and beyond to help us make the best financial decisions. The warmth and kindness shown by Dr. Meredith and Emily were unparalleled. Dr. Meredith's expertise and passion for ophthalmic veterinary profession is truly remarkable. Don’t think twice, bring your loved ones to Dr. Meredith and team—they will not only embrace your fur babies—-but you as well. Thank you, Animal Eye Associates! May 29 · Deanna Sinovic
