As one client shared, we were recommended to them during a difficult time, and we provided "the most amazing care" with "compassion and support." Beyond our medical capabilities, our heart of gold is what truly makes the difference. The story of Rocky, the rescued Belgian Malinois, is a powerful example of our unwavering dedication. We provided an affordable quote, got the dog in for surgery that same day, and our doctors personally carried him out to the car. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My 4lb Yorkie had a mass on her spleen and we were recommended Atlas from an emergency vet and so glad they did! They walked us through the whole process and made us feel comfortable with the procedure and quoted a price much more reasonable than I was expecting. Thankfully we found out it was non cancerous and we caught it in time before anything major happened. We initially saw the vet on a Thursday and when she found out why we were coming she already blocked off time in her schedule to perform the surgery then following Tuesday. So thankful we found them! It did not matter that they were an hour away!
August 22 · Katherine WillisAtlas Pet Vets is the vets office with a heart of gold.On November 9th we found Chicken Nugget(now Rocky), a 1 year old purebred Belgian Malinois, at our local playground. Rocky had a broken leg from getting hit by a car, was 20 lbs underweight and covered in ticks. I took Rocky to the emergency vet and got him some pain medication and a diagnosis. Rocky had no chip and it is believed he had been abused and dumped. Rocky had a midshaft left femoral fracture.Already having three dogs and a toddler, my husband and I contacted every rescue in DFW and the local shelter. No rescue would take Rocky and the shelter said he would be put down due to his injury and their max capacity.Knowing Rocky's chances of regaining mobility in his leg were running out, we started looking for an affordable quote to then take to the community. Many of our local community members had offered to donate. Atlas Pet Vets was by far the most affordable quote and also got it to me very quickly. They told me they would get Rocky in that same day, only someone who genuinely cares about a dogs wellbeing would do something like that. Their clients are so much more than just another number. We were able to raise all the money for the surgery.Dr. Daniel Anthony spent a lot of time talking with me prior to the surgery and after. You could tell he wanted to make sure I was fully comfortable and knowledgeable before taking Rocky home. Then him and another team member personally carried Rocky out to my car like a baby. They called me the next few days to check in. When I took him for his post op Dr. Lauren Anthony again spent a lot of time answering any and all questions. She helped me with what to do to get Rocky's weight up to a healthy level again.Another thing that really stood out to me at Atlas Pet Vets is how happy their staff seems. From reception, to the vet techs, to the office manager, everyone seems like they enjoy their job and are treated well. The fracture was actually much worse than he thought. It had been healing for several weeks and they had to saw some of the bone off to get it back together. They put in multiple plates and pins. I genuinely thought this dog would walk with a limp the rest of his life. I am happy to report that Rocky regained full mobility in his leg and I 1000% attribute it to Dr. Daniel Anthony. They do amazing work and they go above and beyond to ensure your dogs aren't anxious, even if it means giving three different kinds of treats until they find your dogs favorite.Due to the kindness of Atlas Pet Vets as well as the outpouring from the community, we decided to make Rocky an official member of our family.
February 17 · Joy MurphyWish there were 10 stars review. Dr. Daniel and Dr. Lauren are by far the best veterinarians I have been to in my 50 years of owning fur babies. They both truly care about animal’s and are kind, patient, take their time to explain. The staff is amazing from the phone call of making an appointment, to the moment you walk in the door. My Gigi gets so excited to be there and enjoys all the love she receives from everyone there! We will never go elsewhere, I highly recommend and so thankful we found Atlas Pet Vets!!!
December 01 · Karen BaileyI happily drive a little over an hour to take my dogs to see Dr. Daniel and Dr. Lauren. It is so very worth it. I have seen my dogs flourish since seeing Atlas Pet Vets. Both of my dogs are fearful of vets, strange dogs, and strangers. I had to pick my older one up to get him in the door of my last vet, even though he had been going there for years. With atlas pet vets he runs right in the door. The way they set up appointments is super helpful. I have never seen another pet or owner while we are there and we go once a week. It’s very quiet. They use calming pheromones and dim lighting, which I also believe helps. They are always so happy to see my dogs, give them treats (only after asking me first) and treat them as if they were their own. Even though my dogs always snub them.My older dog, Jax is 12 years old and has atypical Cushings, a heart condition, arthritis, DDD, possible collapsed trachea and an as of yet unidentified LAD. He sees Dr. Daniel.Dr Daniel is so great at managing all of his meds, symptoms, as well as working with his cardiologist, and internal medicine specialist. Dr. Daniel is so good about explaining everything in a way I can understand. Dr Daniel was able to catch that Jax was on a medication that my last vet needlessly added, that could be dangerous to Jax’s heart condition and get him off of it. He got him on a diet that is actually working and Jax is losing weight almost every week. He added some new medications and started Jax on weekly laser therapy. Jax has improved so much under his care. Jax’s quality of life is so much better, he is able to go for walks again and is in less pain overall. I’ve even been able to reduce his pain meds some, causing him to be less sedated and more like himself. My 5 month old puppy, Olly sees Dr Lauren, most of the time. She has been great, as well. They do a comprehensive check up on him every time he gets his shots.Olly has a pretty bad reaction to vaccines. Dr. Lauren was able to figure out a way to make him more comfortable and lessen the symptoms to the vaccines. She counseled me on the best food to feed him, how much, as well as when to neuter. They were also able to tell that he’s a little bit younger than we originally thought.Olly had an episode of not wanting to eat, they were able to do blood work, find out there was nothing serious going on, and give him medication to ease the symptoms until he recovered. Under their careful supervision he recovered completely. Both vets take your concerns seriously. They are both great about counseling owners on training and behavioral issues as well. They are both so dedicated. You can really tell they love animals and their jobs. All of the techs are so incredibly nice and a joy to be around. You can tell that truly they love animals, as well. They always call to check up on my pups the day after a visit. They are all so nice about putting up with my endless questions. They offer so many things that other vets do not. Like a fear free experience, underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, nutritional and behavioral counseling. They also offer in house diagnostics like echocardiograms and blood work results in 15 minutes. My previous vet offered none of these things. Their prices are surprisingly fair, and they are great about letting you know about cost way in advance.I can’t say enough good things about this vet clinic. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. We just love the whole Atlas Pet Vets family! We are so glad we found our forever vet!
September 08 · April Ames-HarrisonI can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Anthony or the staff! I had a sick bearded dragon and was having such a hard time finding a vet that would see reptiles. I called the office and got an appointment right away. Dr. Anthony was so thorough and explained everything. My beardie ended up needing surgery and Dr. Anthony was amazing! I got regular updates, always understood exactly what was going on and had complete faith in her and her staff. They all were so thoughtful and I could tell they really care about animals, which is especially rare when getting care for a reptile in my experience. My girl is home now and already acting so much better. Thank you to everyone at Atlas Pet Vets
