Avian and Animal Hospital stands out in the Florida community for several key reasons, consistently highlighted in client feedback and by their own mission. The most significant feature is their expertise in exotic animal care. As one reviewer mentioned, they were able to get help for a leopard gecko with numerous health issues that they had been struggling to manage. This expertise is a rare and valuable asset for the many Floridians who own non-traditional pets. The clinic's ability to diagnose and treat these unique animals effectively for a reasonable cost, without adding on unnecessary expenses, is a major draw. The compassionate nature of the staff, particularly Dr. Zellner, is another major highlight. One client described Dr. Zellner as "absolutely amazing," noting how she got "right down to business" and provided very detailed instructions on medication. This combination of efficiency and a caring approach is a hallmark of the hospital's service. The use of a convenient app for appointments and checking in about previous visits is also a modern feature that enhances the client experience, making communication and record-keeping seamless. Furthermore, the hospital's reputation as "the Best Vet we’ve ever had" speaks to a consistent level of high-quality care that keeps clients coming back, often with multiple pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Z was absolutely amazing! I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve helped us with in literally ONE VISIT!! I had my doubts at first because I’m always a hesitant person, but she walked in the room, she got right down to business and helped my leopard gecko with so many issues we thought we were managing based on blue pearls care, when it actually was not. They are affordable for reptile care, she was able to fix so many health issues with my gecko during the visit, with no extra cost on top of appointment cost and medication cost ,, everything necessary to help my gecko get back to his healthy self, for under 300$!!! Plus she gave very detailed instructions on how to administer each medication. They use a very convenient app to make appointments, check in about previous appointments. I don’t think I’ll ever take any of my animals anywhere else!!
August 01 · Taylor andreThe Best Vet we’ve ever had. Both of my dogs had their shots & treatments here. Highly recommend - Ask for Dr. Zellner
July 14 · Keegan RoamerThe very best!! She took the time to locate and e-mail me some Sulcata tortoise diet info from verified reputable sources. They seem to genuinely love EVERY fur, feather, and scale baby.
March 08 · linda barnettDr. Zellner is a great veterinarian! She has a wonderful bedside manner with animals as well as humans. She is very thorough in her exams as well as patient notes for you to take home so you don't forget how to care for your Pet after the visit. Approximately 24 hours after your appointment, someone follows up via telephone or message checking to make sure everything is fine and see if you have any more questions. You won't be disappointed if you choose Dr. Zellner to care for your exotic "babies."
July 27 · 14fidsDr. Zellner is by far the most incredible veterinarian I’ve ever had the privilege of trusting with my kitties’ care. Her kindness, compassion, and depth of knowledge are unmatched. She takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and makes both pets and people feel truly cared for. I wouldn’t change a thing. She’s the kind of doctor every pet parent hopes to find. 💙
