★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- We have our "granddoggers" in town visiting and one of them picked up a urinary tract infection. BV Vet Clinic was so easy to work with, the staff was absolutely amazing! I truly appreciated the way they worked with us to help our poor sick girl and will go back to them any time we need a vet in Storm Lake!! June 21 · Rebecca Quesnell
- I have been taking my pets for care since I was a small child, in the 1970's. At that time, it was run by Dr's. Pewsey, and Dr. Mead. Both excellent vets. They were always diagnosed correctly, and treated kindly, and correctly. What I experienced just yesterday, was beyond asinine. I brought in my old cat to be euthanized for some tumors that he had, and were removed a couple of times, but grew back. The Dr that removed those was very good to my cat, It was time to take away his suffering. I called for a time to come in with my cat, who was terrified, as we had to sit in that tiny front room with anywhere from 5-10 dogs and a cat or two. I had to wait until all of these other animals were treated, while I sat and cried, feeling absolutely vulnerable and embarrassed. The other male vet barked my name to come in, and just spoke rudely to me the entire time. "DO YOU WANT TO BE IN THE ROOM?!" As he was attempting to give the injection, my cat bit him, He barks to the nice tech that I have dealt with before, to "COME IN AND HOLD HIS HEAD LIKE A DOG!" This man has absolutely zero EMPATHY AND COMPASSION and should just quit if he cannot deal with animals and the public. The nice lady told me I could pet my cat and say goodbye, and she gave me Kleenex and helped me out the back door. That man didn't care if I had snot running down my nose. I worked a 12-hr night shift, had to wait for the place to open, have a gut- wrenching experience, and be treated like garbage. Also, do we need political signs outside of the office?? I don't equate the name on that sign, to any kindness towards animals. I will be going to another animal hospital from now on. There are many in close proximity. May 31 · Allyson Munger
- I owe a huge thank you to this vet. We were visiting family and our dog stepped on glass and was bleeding pretty bad. The vet was already on another call and took the time to call me back and took care of my dog on a Saturday evening. There were no hidden emergency fees or anything. Just straight forward service and a straight forward price. Thank you a thousand times over! May 18 · Kyle Roth
- I would not recommend this vet to anyone! Our dog was neutered back on August 9. He stopped eating and has been having episodes of diarrhea and vomiting about a week after the surgery and hasn’t been acting like himself. He is 13 months old. We called last night and spoke with the vet and he said it didn’t sound like a blockage but he definitely wanted us to bring him in to be seen and be checked out. He said he could come out to our house for $300+ whatever he found out was wrong with him or we could call in the morning and make an appointment to have him be seen immediately. We decided we would just call in the morning and make an appointment to have him be seen immediately. We called right when they opened and they told us he couldn’t be seen until Friday! We explained what the vet said and the receptionist didn’t care! Said there was nothing they could do. Our dog hasn’t ate since Friday, he is not acting like himself, and you can clearly tell he is uncomfortable and in pain and the only thing that has changed is him having surgery! This is an emergency situation you’d think they’d make time for him! Please do not take your pets here. We will be taking our pets elsewhere from now on. August 20 · Megan Thompson
- Had an emergency with my dog and after I called and explained the situation he simply said yea well I’m at home you can just call somebody else…. This guy doesn’t have the empathy or people skills to be doing what he is doing and should not have a single paying customer. Total piece of *#!# for how he spoke to me. I would love to see him talk to a man like that to their face. Seriously not a place to take a beloved pet if uou want somebody who cares in my opinion!!!! -1000 stars would not be enough for this dirt bag. March 31 · todd lauck
