Banfield Headquarters Introduce
For pet owners in Washington, Banfield is a name that is deeply integrated into the local veterinary landscape. While many are familiar with the Banfield Pet Hospitals found in neighborhoods and inside PetSmart stores, the company’s headquarters is a significant presence in Vancouver. Located at 18101 SE 6th Way, this corporate hub serves as the central nervous system for the world's largest general veterinary practice. It’s a place that symbolizes a commitment to veterinary medicine on a national and even international scale. Unlike a local, independent clinic, the headquarters focuses on the larger mission of providing standardized, comprehensive care and developing services like their Optimum Wellness Plans. It is important to note that this location is primarily a corporate office and not a public-facing veterinary hospital for client appointments. However, its existence in Vancouver speaks to the city's role as a major center for pet health and innovation.
The Banfield headquarters is more than just an office building; it's a reflection of a corporate culture that values pets. The 20-acre campus is a LEED Platinum certified, pet-friendly workplace, with common areas and amenities designed for both employees and their dogs who come to work with them. This commitment to a pet-centric environment is central to the Banfield brand and informs their approach to veterinary healthcare services. While the headquarters itself doesn't offer veterinary services to the public, its function is to support the Banfield network of over 1,000 hospitals nationwide, ensuring they have the resources and infrastructure to provide consistent, high-quality care. This includes everything from developing veterinary advice and medical therapy protocols to managing the in-house pharmacy and online vet services.
The core of Banfield's offering is its preventive petcare, often packaged into Optimum Wellness Plans. These plans are designed to provide a year of routine services, such as physical exams, vaccinations for pets, parasite protection, and dental cleanings, at a fixed monthly cost. The reviews provided highlight the significant emotional and financial challenges that can arise with these plans, particularly when a pet passes away. Customers have expressed distress over the policy of having to continue payments or pay a lump sum for the remainder of the annual contract, a detail that many feel was not made clear at the time of enrollment. This is an important consideration for anyone looking into these services and underscores the need for pet owners to thoroughly understand the terms of any plan they choose.
Located at 18101 SE 6th Way in Vancouver, WA 98683, USA, the Banfield Headquarters is situated in the Columbia Tech Center. While this is not a public clinic, the building is accessible and designed to be a modern and functional corporate campus. It features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. For direct public contact regarding services, pet owners are encouraged to visit one of the many Banfield Pet Hospital locations in the Vancouver area, not the headquarters. The contact number provided, (800) 838-6738, is for general inquiries and customer support related to the corporate entity and its services, not for scheduling veterinary appointments. For a veterinary visit, it is recommended to call the specific local Banfield clinic.

What is worth choosing (a local Banfield Pet Hospital)
When considering veterinary care in Washington, choosing a Banfield Pet Hospital location can offer several benefits, particularly for those who prefer a structured approach to pet health. The main draw for many clients is the Optimum Wellness Plan, which bundles essential preventive care into an easy-to-manage monthly payment. This can be a cost-effective way to ensure your pet receives regular comprehensive exams, vaccinations, and other routine care. The network of clinics means you can often find a location near you, and their services are standardized across the board. The availability of an in-house pharmacy and online services provides added convenience for pet owners on the go. However, it is crucial to fully understand the terms of the wellness plans, particularly the cancellation policy, as some pet owners have experienced difficulties with this aspect. By carefully weighing the pros and cons and ensuring you are comfortable with the contractual agreement, a local Banfield clinic can be a practical choice for meeting your pet's routine healthcare needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been using Banfield Hospital for over a decade — loyal customers because of our dog, who sadly passed away unexpectedly. In the midst of grief, you start contacting services that are no longer needed. A wellness plan is no longer necessary for a pet that is no longer with us. It is disgraceful, predatory, and cruel to profit off the bodies of our deceased pets. What people fail to realize is that these are more than just pets — they are our family members. When we questioned what services had been rendered since the beginning of the policy that would justify continued charges to our account, the agent simply repeated what they were trained to say: “Unfortunately, your plan is for a year, and you must either continue paying monthly or pay the entire balance up front.” Why not tell me what services my pet actually received to justify the cost? Now, for the next few months, I either have to relive the death of my dog every time I see that charge — or take a financial hit and pay off the plan in full.If you do anything, stay away from this company. Find a local hospital instead — because these large corporations are heartless and greedy.
March 20 · Jose HernandezMy dog recently passed n I had to continue to pay. I could either pay remaining balance or continue with monthly payments. When I entered into this contract I was never informed of this certain detail. They don’t tell you about this. You’re already distraught making arrangements for your little one but it doesn’t seem to bother them as long as they get their money. So to make a long story short I paid the balance even though I didn’t think it was right. Didn’t feel like arguing with them.
July 09 · Linda JimenezI do not believe this, I close my membership for my dog, and after 4 months I see it a charge on my credit card of $56.95, I called the headquarter and the response was did you read our policy, and I said did you see it the charge me my last visit, what a garbage company now I will need to contact my credit card to get the money back. And also they saying to cancel the plan need to be direct with the headquarter and the Veterinarian she never told me that, she just said your plan is no more active.
June 27 · Joe SantanaAdded me to an account without making me an account holder for my animal, took my billing info and then effectively locked me out of said account but continued to bill me and refused to remove my billing info from the account that i no longer agreed to at time of renewal (which i also had no say in) customer service was useless. Avoid this company, go with a local vet.Edit: Called your number. Rep still couldn't help me because I'm not the account holder, i had to issue a stop payment and cancel my debit card to avoid being charged over this. You guys need to look at you create customer profiles and take billing info.
July 23 · GradyThis is 1 of the most challenging reviews I've ever done. I've been a member of the Banfield family for roughly 13 yrs. My beloved dog, Max, passed away on 2/10/23. I contacted Banfield to end services but received the response, "Your annual plan is set, and we will continue to make automatic drafts until the end of your contract." So, although I noted that I would make a lumpsum payment, they continue 2 take out automatic payments w/out my authorization. My frustration is that during Covid, I paid 1.5 years w/out being able to receive services, but they refused 2 stop my automatic payments. I feel traumatized and will never utilize their services ever again!!!
