Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
We have been using Banfield Hospital for over a decade — loyal customers because of our dog, who sadly passed away unexpectedly. In the midst of grief, you start contacting services that are no longer needed. A wellness plan is no longer necessary for a pet that is no longer with us. It is disgraceful, predatory, and cruel to profit off the bodies of our deceased pets. What people fail to realize is that these are more than just pets — they are our family members. When we questioned what services had been rendered since the beginning of the policy that would justify continued charges to our account, the agent simply repeated what they were trained to say: “Unfortunately, your plan is for a year, and you must either continue paying monthly or pay the entire balance up front.” Why not tell me what services my pet actually received to justify the cost? Now, for the next few months, I either have to relive the death of my dog every time I see that charge — or take a financial hit and pay off the plan in full.If you do anything, stay away from this company. Find a local hospital instead — because these large corporations are heartless and greedy.
Mar 20, 2025 · Jose HernandezBad business. This location failed to explain the policy regarding charges related to early renewal, then proceeded to send the account to collections despite my inability to get in touch with anyone by phone. The wellness plan is similar to a 360 deal or a gym membership where they place hurdles to cancel. Even when you don’t render any services in the plan year, they use the contract that they fail to explain at check in, they send accounts to collections. The plan is not worth it!
Jul 04, 2025 · Ciara Imani MayI was honestly happy when my Vet came out speaking an accent other than purely American English. It’s not so much I care, who works on my animals, or what nationality they are, I couldn’t care less, as long as long as they’re highly qualified and have a good bedside manner. The difference, after living abroad, between the European system and the American system of veterinary care, is that the Europeans are much more comprehensive than your traditional veterinarian, there are medications that you can buy on Amazon for your dog, that the French authorities will never allow you to buy without the consent and legal sign off of your veterinarian. The vets office will also receive the medication that you ordered and it’s very customisable to one stop responsible shopping for your animal. A real person lies touch. The European style is more inclusive, more directive, much more focused on providing outcomes that are successful, then how much money they can run up to keep an animal alive. My doctor today was excellent, completely ingrained in the way that I wanted to speak about my animals, in the European sense not the American sense. The biggest difference I can say, is in my Vet wrote down every vaccine and my dog’s schedule for this year and next in terms of major milestones and vaccination schedules. My dog wasn’t even originally located or seen by the Vet, he described wrote out what the schedule will be for the next six months for my dog to get his vaccinations complete, what those vaccinations were, if they were 1/2 or 2/2 doses. We also went over my dog’s overall health monitoring schedule. I would also like to say, the staff here is amazing, the assistant, who help me, got me in the same day, within 45 minutes just because I really wanted my dog to have his vaccines, as he had been behind. She’s a saint…
Mar 30, 2024 · Daniel BThis place is an absolute joke. They are terrible with their customers and are completely unreliable. They mistreated our dog, called and said there was an emergency and to bring her immediately to a hospital for possible internal bleeding, and the animal hospital then notified it was only bruising (these bruises were NOT on her when we dropped her off). This cost us a ton of extra money, and when we called to cancel our plan, they made us wait 2-3 months before we had to call back for an answer of “we can’t do that, you have to call corporate”. All while continuing to charge us our monthly bill.A completely pathetic excuse for a pet hospital and they should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed in their customer support. After 6 years of service, we will never ever step into a Banfield again.
Jun 09, 2025 · Mike FuchsThe number of times I've been put on hold for more than 5 minutes is actually crazy. This morning alone I held for 20min. Most of the time they don't ask before putting you on hold, although the one time they DID ask I said Please Do Not and they put me on hold anyway without saying anything. Horrific customer service. At least check in with the people you're putting on hold?? Or like, say something?? I'm literally a vet receptionist lol
