Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
The new girl Natalie is definitely not a people person. Been coming here for many years and everyone has always been very friendly. I may drop my pets insurance and move elsewhere. With the prices Banfield charges you should atleast have people working there that have people skills. We are in fact trusting you with our cherished pets. Where are the girls that used to work there?
Jul 24, 2025 · M MontoyaDr. V and the crew here are terrific. I have taken my dog to four Banfield offices in the Sacramento area, and this one is the best by far. Prompt, friendly, courteous and very clear about the medicine, costs and options. They actually like their work! Can’t say enough good things about this office!
Jun 01, 2025 · Jon OrtizI thought they were a bit expensive but they took GREAT CARE of my little fur baby who had an infected eye from an imbedded weed burr. The staff is very friendly and understanding. Plus they have senior citizen discount. I will continue to make use of their service.
Jun 25, 2025 · Elizabeth sumpterGreat staff and vets really friendly and helpful. Only complaints are they really push pediatric neutering of dogs here, which they should know(and probably do know about and are told not to mention) the really bad long term effects of neutering you dog before they fully mature.
Mar 20, 2025 · Forrest HansenWorst customer service experience ever. Let me begin with the pros. Same day appointment, registration was timely, and intake went ok.At intake I was informed to drop off my pet and I would get a call 4 to 6 hours later after blood tests came back. I was told there was no vet at 9:00 am. Even though my appointment was at 9. This should have been my first red flag.I got the call from the vet around 1 pm. where she recommended some items. Item one was a medication to prevent dehydration($80) Item 2 was unnecessary at this time according to her.Item 3 consisted of a $555.75 xray. Vet was unsure of what dog had or if ingested something. Recommendeded an xray($555.75) to rule out possible ingested foreign items.I approved treatment 1 and 3 above and the vet mention she'd call me back with findings. At approximately 3:20 I get a call from what appears to be an assistant who seems to be reading vets notes and findings. I won't say her name but it begins with a K and ends with an N just to be professional.Assistant says vet is recommending 3 other treatments and medications. Says if the medication doesn't work or dog begins to vomit to take to ER.While asking the assistant questions and trying to understand what the underlying factor and cause was, the assistant said she just explained it to me three times. Now I'm not a doctor, vet, or specialize in health items but as a customer who is seeking care for a member of thier family(pet), I don't appreciate when I am not explained or answered my direct questions. For example, I asked what did the xray show? Is there an obstructed item? Why would I authorize these three treatments without knowing the xray results? We all want the best for our family and it's important for representatives representing Banfield to easily explain the underlying cause, the treatments, and findings in terms that we as customers can understand. This representative failed to do so, so Iasked to speak to the vet. The representative told me the vet was unavailable but could take a message. When I asked her again to please let me know when the vet would call me she stated it wouldn't be today. Again I asked her to explain to me why I should authorize three other treatments without the radiology exam results, she said and I quote "Sir I already explained this, and you've taken too much of my time already. Do you want the treatment or not?"You can imagine how past pissed off I was now.Now I composed myself and I told her I want a vet to call me, authorized the said treatments, and didn't appreciate her telling me that I have taken too much time.Isnt that her job or the vets job to explain to me and others the underlying findings, treatments, and recommendations for our family pets?We scheduled to pick up my dog at 415. I told her my wife would go and pick her up, but my wife wanted me go insdie with her. Since I was upset, I let her do the talking but went inside ready to speak to the manager and the representative directly.Want to know what happened? The representative didnt come to the front counter.Instead she sent another person (starts with D and ends with either an i,e,or y) who by far chance went above and beyond to expalain to my wife and I (without even asking) what the findings were, tests ran, medications prescribed, and to seek additional care if the dog gets worse. She was clear to let me know the xrays were not in,, they were unsure if the medications would work, and even if that was the issue. I have no issues with this rep.We took our dog, paid almost $1500, and was told id get the xray and vet call results tomorrow. We shall see.My dog remains sick and I'm out $1500. Banfield hospital has no clue if the medication given will fix her. Or what the issue is at this time. My dog hasn't eaten in tjree days now.Truly upsetting. I don't see myself using this hospital service ever again because of the lack of professionalism and customer service provided by (begins with a K and end with an N).
