Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I had a disappointing experience at Banfield. I took my dog in because she had pus coming out of her eye, and before the vet even examined her, the tech started suggesting multiple tests totaling around $150. When I asked if the vet could check her first, they finally did—and the vet only recommended a $52 test. It feels much more commercial now, as if they’ll run unnecessary tests unless you specifically question them.Additionally, the drop-off appointment system is extremely inconvenient. In 12 years, I’ve never had to leave my dogs like this. They don’t provide a clear time frame, meaning you have to keep your whole day open.Overall, this visit felt more like a business transaction than quality pet care. Nice staff but the company seems to be more commercial now.
Mar 13, 2025 · Aisha OjhaMy girlfriend and I got the plan with everything and added some, for both of our cats and we put the radiographs on there so he could get the x rays, they told us when we first got the plan, that the only thing that was one time was the medicine. We were told everything else was included with the monthly fee. We get there and they try to charge $600 for blood work and for x rays. He is having breathing issues, and we couldn’t pay that then and there so they did not treat him. I will never go back to Banfield, and would not recommend it either.
May 07, 2025 · AJ GraysThey are horrible. My dog is seeing an oncologist on the other side of fort worth, and just asked if i could get a temperature taken nearby. My own vet is in mansfield, so i asked Banfield, he how much for just taking her temperature (I had asked Penny paws and they said offered free just bring her in, but Grand Prairie was far), and Banfield wants 71 dollars to take the damn temperature. Freaking ridiculous.Years ago i took my dog to Banfield for an cut injury and it was horrible experience too.
Feb 28, 2025 · Rik DKelly Warner DVM and staff did a wonderful (surgery) (neuter) job on our 9 month old Oreo. We were well informed/reminded/from day we made the appointment for Oreo's surgery. We were given step by step instructions on what our part was to ensure all goes well before and after the surgery. Everything from cost to possible added cost in which we were given the option to saying yes or no too. The staff at Banfield (inside the Petsmart) were professional and friendly. They acknowledged Oreo by name each time we had phone calls, or in person contact. They REALLY care about our puppy as if he were their own. After surgery we received a phone call to let us know how the surgery went, a good time to pick up Oreo, and home care. We also received a phone call the next day after surgery from Banfield staff to check on Oreo! Very impressed. I have been going to Banfield for Oreo since September 2021, and have been very, very happy with the treatment of our puppy, as well as all information given to us. I recommend this VET office 100.%
