★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The staff here is great! My poor baby had an urgent issue and I was able to get in the very next day! They all were so sweet and loved on my baby. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the prices changed after I was quoted a detailed list, the cost went up $100 more. Other than that, we had a great experience there and they are now my dog’s main vet. Thank you!
July 28 · Len CI'm only giving two stars because of how nice everyone was. When I put my dog down in the beginning of May, I had high hopes about the services because of how well it was explained it me. However, I was supposed to receive her ashes about 7-10 days after and that was not the case. Nobody called, so after 2 weeks, I took it upon myself to reach out to them. I tried to call and was asked to hold. After 10 minutes on hold, I gave up. When it got to week 3, I called again. When I asked how long it should take to get back ashes, I was again told 7-10 days. When I said it had been 3 weeks, they told me they would check on it. They came back on the line and said, "Yep, she's here, go ahead and come pick her up." I brought her home and took all the stuff out of the bag they gave me. I paid extra to have her paw prints to be pressed in clay. Instead of them taking the clay out, rolling it out into a circle, pressing her paw/paws in it, there were two square slabs that they just took out of the plastic and shoved her paws in. One was barely pressed in and the other they really shoved in there. The package the clay was in literally had instructions on how to do it on the back. I had to bake them like that because obviously there was no redoing it. I was also told I would receive ink prints, which weren't in the bag. Since it was after closing I reached out in an email, explained my issues, stated that I should be reimbursed for the clay, and requested to be contacted. It's been over 2 months and nothing. After a month and a half, I did receive a card with the ink prints in them. I paid extra for something special and feel like the ball was dropped. It was done so carelessly. Be cautious trusting them to handle this delicate service.
July 24 · Paula Brandtbanfield has been a go to for me for years for my vet needs. specifically at the gresham location the staff is amazing. i love that even for a routine visit i get a call to go over the appointment - discuss things and i never feel like i’m being sold to or pushed products. i have an older dog and i love that they give me options and are willing to take the time to talk with me about things. my dogs are treated with love and affection as if it were the staffs own dogs. when i had an issue with my account front desk baddie Janine went to bat for me and got my account set back up. she wasn’t paid overtime for that and it was only for her love of my pets and respect for me as a client that she did that for me and i’m so so appreciative. the wellness plans are worth it especially for the teeth cleaning aspect since to do that out of pocket is expensive. i’m very happy with banfield and this location specifically. reminder calls for all appointments and just amazing communication overall. thank y’all for helping me and my pets !
July 25 · Jeanette SankerMy 11 year old small breed dog was scheduled for couple teeth extractions today. They called me and said X-ray needed which will be around $240 and asked what is by budget is and I said total $500. Meaning $240 for X-ray and $260 max for extractions. I asked how much it is per tooth they said $50-$150. I was expecting 3-4 teeth max to be removed. When we received a call to pickup our dog they said total of 13 teeth have been removed!!! This is unacceptable!!! We didn’t get a call asking if it is ok. How is my dog supposed to eat now? When I talked to the manager they said 3 out of 13 fell out but they still pulled 10 teeth themselves without checking in with us. I can’t express how frustrated we are.
May 06 · Olga PalcheyThey will overcharge you and not recommend or give you any options for medications that ARENT PRESCRIPTIONS. Meaning if they arent earning money off the transaction then they arent going to tell you any possible secondary option for the prescription that you can get on the shelves yourself or give it preventitive care before they come in specificially because they know the wound will get worse without their information. Theyll tell you its so they arent liable for giving false information. Whats false information to give when you are asking for what products are there or contain a subsititue for the prescription version. Not asking them what to do or advice to treat mt pet. Im asking for what chemical in the product or products itself can i look for that are substitues for prescription versions. They refuse to give you as much information as possible because they know the more desperate you are to save your lifes pet the more you will pay. And less you know how to know how to make yoir pet better THE MORE THEY CAN CHARGE YOU FOR IT when you come in because now the issue is worse. This is a business. Theyre motives are fueled by money disguised as "righteous" reassuring you that theyre gonna take care of your pet and that you should bring your pet in. and they let you know there may be many many different costs due to the sevarity and there may be more costs ontop of that, etc, etc. So they will never be able to tell you a price on anything. If they do its through closed teeth. Meaning they dont want to tell you but are legally obligated to tell you through state law. DO NOT GO HERE. The internet will always point you to "ahh be scared and run to your vet for care and help" because the internet is flooded with articles made and paid by vet insurance companies to solidify the need that a pet needs a vet. When in fact animals have survived and healed themselves through FAR WORSE. LOOK UP WHAT YOUR PETS PROBLEMS ARE ON YOUTUBE. Youtube is literally filled with vets and people just like you sharing thwir stories on what works and what doesnt work for pets. Please dont fall into the trap of paying hundreds to thousands for when all it took was you putting in some effort to actually care about your pet and get the medicine(s) yourself for less than $40 and give it to your pet. I have a few wounds that i definitely should have gotten stitches for but they healed perfectly fine with good preventitive care. Which this "hospital", i mean business, refuses to tell you until you come in and pay them for that information. Humans are MUCH more susceptible to bacteria and illness than almost every animal on earth. ONLY TAKE YOUR PET IF ITS DIRE. If you had the same injury, would you go to the hospital or treat it with antibiotics and antibacterials or whatever is needed? If you say hospital then take your pet to the hospital, but give your pet 2 or 3 days to heal after you notice symptoms or an incident like an injury, if they arent healing and its getting worse then the answer is obvious, go see a vet. Otherwise. Let nature take its course. Let the scab form or let the illness have time to pass... please dont allow these businesses to take advantage of your emotions and love for your pets. Because thats EXACTLY what theyre doing. A wolf in sheeps clothing.
