When considering a veterinary pharmacy or an animal hospital for your pet in Oregon, Wildwood Animal Hospital stands out for a variety of reasons. Their integrated approach to care, which combines a full-service hospital with a convenient pharmacy, provides an unparalleled level of efficiency and continuity. The ability to receive a diagnosis, get a prescription, and fill it all in the same location streamlines the process and ensures that your pet gets the care they need without delay. This is particularly valuable for pets with chronic conditions or those recovering from surgery, where timely access to medication is essential.
While a service provider's reputation is built on a range of experiences, the provided reviews offer valuable insight. The positive review highlights the effective diagnostic and treatment capabilities of the hospital. The quick and accurate diagnosis of a limping pet and the subsequent relief provided by the medication speaks to the professional competence of the medical staff. This kind of experience is what pet owners hope for: a swift resolution to their pet's discomfort and a professional, caring team to guide them. The unfortunate experience detailed in the negative review, while distressing, highlights a specific interaction with a receptionist rather than the overall quality of veterinary care. The emotional toll of a sick pet is immense, and such situations require great empathy. It is important for potential clients to consider the full picture—the range of services offered, the convenience of the in-house pharmacy, and the positive outcomes highlighted by other clients—while also acknowledging the need for consistent compassion across all staff interactions.
Ultimately, Wildwood Animal Hospital offers a comprehensive and convenient solution for Portland's pet owners. Their commitment to accessibility, their wide range of services from routine wellness to complex surgeries, and the invaluable convenience of their in-house and online pharmacy make them a strong choice. For those seeking a professional and knowledgeable partner in their pet’s health, Wildwood provides the tools and expertise to ensure your beloved companion receives the best possible care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our baby girl was limping, couldn’t sleep they didn’t x-ray diagnosed her sent her home with the medicine she needed. She’s been sleeping just fine not limping. This is an awesome place. Keep up the good work. Highly recommended.
August 28 · Kelly GordonI cannot believe the lack of compassion and respect. We adopted an 11 week old puppy on Saturday from the Humane Society. Yesterday he started having really bad symptoms so we took him to urgent care where he was diagnosed with parvo. The treatment was thousands of dollars but he's our baby and he's worth it. They told us we needed to get him seen at a normal vet within 3-5 days as the urgent care does not do routine visits. So I called the vet I've been taking my other dog to for a few months now.The second I mentioned he was parvo positive the receptionist changed her attitude. She acted like I'd purposely exposed my puppy to an illness that could possibly kill him and told me "he won't be getting any vaccines." I said that he needed a checkup to make sure the antibody treatment was taking and she very reluctantly went to talk to the vet to see what the protocol was. When she came back she said that they hadn't seen "a parvo puppy" in 10+ years and they don't have an iso room so they couldn't see him. Understandable. This is why I called ahead, because I don't want to get other puppies sick. She told me to take him back to the urgent care where he was seen. When I said that wasn't an option and asked for recommendations for other vets she said just to "google it and call around" in the most rude way possible, as if I was inconveniencing her by asking.Bear in mind that I just got news that my brand new puppy is sick and could die. Literally all I expected was a name or two of nearby vets to call, which I don't think is expecting too much and I was very polite to her. She was so rude and treated me like I was trying to bring in the plague because I enjoy getting puppies sick for funzies. No empathy whatsoever. To that receptionist: I hope to god you never have to experience what my family is going through right now, and if you do, I hope no one treats you the way you treated us, you jerk. Also? If you hate sick dogs so much, maybe you should reconsider your line of work.Pic of my beautiful puppy for reference.
April 02 · stephanie evansOne of the best. Since my old Vet closed they recommended Wildwood. I couldn't have been more pleased with the care of the DR and her assistant. It was a mutual love fest between my dog and the staff. Thank You all for a great transition.
April 18 · Dorothy ClarkExcellent customer service, friendly, knowledgeable staff and the Doctor was very kind, kept us in the loop about what was happening and very empathetic towards our kitty. It's getting harder to find these qualities in a veterinary practice, unfortunately, but everyone here was lovely and the Doc gave helpful suggestions for aftercare, as well. She obviously really cared about our cat's well being.Noodles (our kitty) says you should take your kitty/puppy there for a check up. Preventative care is important and, luckily, pricing is very reasonable and she was surprisingly comfortable being handled by staff, so there's no reason not to, really.(Pictured: Noodles thinking chair, Noodles hiding and Loki asking for loves.)
July 31 · Christine LecherWhat a wonderful place to take your puppies. They love and care for them and Nicole is a dream- patient and making sure that my Ricky is healthy and happy Ron don’t walk to this animal hospital. They are the bees knees.!
