★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So far so good! New to the plan with our new puppy. Was questionable at first with customer service on the phones & in person but I understand they are busy & I have worked in that exact environment before it can be a lot with people in person & phones constantly ringing… Vets & assistants in the back very good & helpful. They asked if I wanted them to do exam & shots in room with me & I said yes. Plan is helpful for people like me that like a payment plan, rather than the lump sum in full each time. I feel welcomed and at ease with each visit I have had going forward, now it’s been 4x we have been there and I’m happy with it! ❤️
February 21 · Angela KnowsbestThis was our very first appointment and before I even walked in the door, I knew they were great! I received a call ahead of the appointment and she was so wonderful on the phone. Then day of appointment we arrive and everyone was so friendly and sweet. My puppy who has never seen a vet before was over the moon excited to be there! All staff encountered were so warm and made the experience so amazing! The vet and assistant were great with our pup who is energetic at 13 weeks and wanted to play and love them instead of what they needed to accomplish. They gave him some treats and he cared less about the shots… We signed up for a wellness plan. She explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions. They are 10/10! Then as we’ve were checking out at the lobby/front desk a lady came running in crying with her dog begging for help. She was inconsolable, they all jumped in to action! When they asked if she had been there before and the answer was no, that did not stop them from quickly attending to her pup! I was so impressed! I knew we were in good hands there!
October 23 · Kristi BruffettBanfield as a whole deserves 5 stars. However, the Savage location deserves only 1 star.I have visited the Burnsville and Eden Prairie locations, and both experiences were a 10/10.I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Savage was disappointing and concerning. The staff displayed an alarming lack of professionalism, which is especially troubling in a field dedicated to the care of animals. If customer service and compassion are not priorities, this may not be the right career path.During one visit, I overheard the veterinarian speaking negatively about other clients on the other side of the exam room door. At the time, I dismissed it since it wasn’t directed at me. However, I recently learned from a family member that the same veterinarian made inappropriate and unprofessional comments about my sister and her cat as well.Disappointing and will not return :) Cannot comprehend how such apathetic human beings are allowed to work with animals.
August 27 · Kendra YostI just got back from the Banfield veterinary clinic in Savage, Minnesota. My cat of under a year was not seen by anyone. We all know how hard it is to bring a cat to a clinic. They knew he was coming from another clinic not even a mile down the road. I brought him here because I cannot get into my clinic until Monday. They asked if I had records and I said the I told the front desk that the Clinic was right down the road. Why at that time did they not ask me for the name and number of the clinic and they could forward the records to them? Assuming they would do their jobs and have them forwarded or ask me to call and have them forwarded prior to the visit. This is not the maddening part. They would not see him because they didn’t have a record of his vaccinations, which he has and has been seen by my other Vet 6-7 times in his one year of life. If they had told me they had to have their vaccinations shots on paper or proof of I could have brought them. I have copies at home. What is wrong with their staff and the Vet that has trained them? The Vet actually hide and was never to be seen. They let their staff do their dirty work. Tell me and I would have brought the paper copies in. Then the kid (vet tech) was like we cannot see you today because of the lack of papers or proof of his shots. This is a form of neglect. What do they do with cats or kitties that have never been vaccinated? They don’t see them at all? This is really wrong. Tell me upfront and then I would have provided the proof of shots. Instead, the kid sent me home because they had to wait for the response from the other clinic. Well, they won’t happen, because they will never get my business. Sidenote, I thought the office was OK with being clean but when you got into the Examination room rooms, I could see that they were not clean properly. They were dirty. I was not impressed. And they’re worried about shots!! How about the germs from other animals? It seems really backwards for them to ask for shots but not clean properly after animals are seen. It’s not cleanly. The Banfield clinics are merely pop-up clinics. I would never recommend this place, as a matter of fact I would run. Not only did they waste my time, they made me go through all the pain and suffering my cat had to go through who is one years old to pack them up and watch him pant because he was so nervous. Next time, I will use a virtual clinic because they’re probably better than this Clinic will ever be. Use this Clinic with caution. I am one that will write a great review if something great happens, but this stems from pure lack of communication and lack of someone doing their job. If they inform me correctly that I had to have proof of Shots I could have provided that. Do not go to this place, I repeat do not go to this place. It’s wasted time.
July 31 · Tina Peterson2.5 out of 5 experiencePros:They got us in within 2 daysThey were fastThey knew what he neededCons:Very very expensive!!Profit-driven care- Not affordable and they are unwilling to do a payment plan, and are rude when you ask about it. They don't help families because they want you to sign up for their pet insurance program and they act like sales reps for it. It's really annoying and not pet-centered care; it's profit-centered care. The vet tech that he had said, "i don't know" and "I'm not sure" for every question I asked (basic questions) and wouldn't ask the vet for clarification. If paying a quarter of a thousand dollars for a medicine, I have the right to ask/know how to give it properly. The front desk ladies are rude.Glad my dog has what he needs, but not returning.
