Best Friends Veterinary Hospital Introduce
For pet parents in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the surrounding areas, **Best Friends Veterinary Hospital** offers a distinctive approach to animal health that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge Western medical technology with the time-honored practices of **Holistic Medicine** and **Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM)**. This combination provides a truly comprehensive, well-rounded care model for dogs, cats, and even specialized species like **Pocket Pets**. As both an **Animal Hospital** and a dedicated **Veterinarian** practice, they are equipped to handle everything from routine **Puppy And Kitten Exams** to complex **Chronic Conditions** and advanced treatments like **Stem Cell** therapy.
The clinic’s commitment to viewing the pet as a whole being is often lauded by clients. One highly satisfied user described their visit as an **“INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE,”** specifically appreciating the staff's kindness and knowledge. Their anxious pup was reportedly calmed by a **“natural calming drop”** administered by the team, showcasing a successful application of the clinic’s holistic principles to manage challenging behavioral issues. The reviewer concluded, **“I so appreciate the holistic approach and view. HIGHLY RECOMMEND,”** which highlights the value local users place on this integrative style of veterinary practice.
However, it is important for prospective clients to note that while many reviews speak to the hospital’s exceptional knowledge and compassionate long-term care, some accounts of emergency or end-of-life services indicate areas where the client experience has fallen short. One heartbreaking review, describing the euthanasia of a beloved chihuahua, detailed long wait times—**“waiting for over an hour while our loved one was in pain”**—and deeply distressing staff conduct during the procedure. The owner noted a lapse in professionalism, describing staff as **“staring at us smiling and laughing,”** a profound failure of compassion that is a serious concern for a facility dealing with sensitive matters. While the hospital aims for excellence, these accounts underscore the critical importance of clear communication and consistent empathetic care, especially during the most emotional moments. **Appointments recommended** is the standard, and clients should always confirm the process and wait times, particularly for urgent or critical needs.
The dual-track approach of modern and complementary medicine is a major differentiator in the Oklahoma veterinary landscape, offering residents treatment options that go beyond conventional pharmaceuticals and surgery. This dedication to innovative and alternative therapies, combined with foundational veterinary services, makes Best Friends a unique care destination.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! I can’t recommend them enough. They were so incredible, so kind, and so knowledgeable. Our pup is very anxious and they spent so much time with us getting him to be at peace and gave him a natural calming drop that completely fixed it. They are AMAZING! I so appreciate the holistic approach and view. HIGHLY RECOMMEND July 23 · Brie Anderson
- Worst place ever me and my mother had to put my Chihuahua down that I had since I was 7 years old and I’m 22 now we scheduled an appointment and they had us waiting for over an hour while our loved one was in pain red flag number one so when we were called back she gave her the first shot to relax her and we had to wait another 45 minutes and then the lady gave her the last shot to completely put her down which she has to make sure she’s completely down and time it. immediately her timer died red flag number 2 so while she was doing that me and my mother were very emotional and crying which the lady and her assistant were staring at us smiling and laughing to each other like the whole situation was just a joke to them I don’t ever leave reviews but this was definitely the worst experience in my life April 15 · Karina Ramirez
- My grandmother's dog had vomited blood yesterday, so she took the dog in. They gave her some vitamins, an antibiotic, and some other medication and sent the dog home. I woke up to my grandma crying because she found the dog dead in the laundry room at 3am. Why would you not keep a dog that's bleeding? That you suspect ate rat poison? Why would you settle on vitamin K and some medication and let that dog go back home after she had just vomited blood? So that my grandma, someone who is not qualified to medically care for a dog, to monitor her? When you bring a pet to an establishment with medical professionals, you are inclined to trust their judgment. I'm sad that we did.Personally I get scared when my cat makes a weird noise. I don't understand. July 12 · Dean Conly
- There is no way I could be happier with my first experience here. I took a young female to get spayed and we were both treated extremely well. The vet did a superb job on my kitty, the price wasn't bad at all. We're delighted. March 19 · Frank Boston
- I take all 3 of my cats here and dog. A friend of mine referred me and she's been going there for nearly her whole life! Dr. best truly is the best! My middle child/fur baby had gone to a different vet since she wasn't eating. The other vet told me we needed to put a feeding tube in her and even then it wasn't looking good and I should probably prepare for the worst. My husband was distraught! Tbh I don't blame that other vet, they only reported what they saw and didn't know any better, plus my cat can be very convincing that she doesn't like you lol she was "too aggressive". Again understandable if you don't know the cat and all the signs of a pissed off cat are there. Dr. Best did laser therapy on her sinus area (very affordable btw and I'm currently homeless) she also suggested feeding kitten formula and some other things to help as well as a steroid shot. With in a week, my cat that I was on the way to a full recovery, going to the litter box on her own and her appetite was coming back! The staff there truly care and always suggest what's best for the animal! January 16 · Dessy Davis
