Last April 2024 I took my dog in for his yearly, new vet because my vet moved, so I go in and meet Dr Farthing. She seemed nice enough, she thought my dog looked great asked if I was concerned about anything. He had a pea like bump in his fur, I said I don’t know if I’m concerned but just showed her the area. She went directly to the dark side and said she thought it was a mass cell tumor, and wanted it out immediately. I’ve had a cancellation on Thursday let’s get it out. So very worried I agreed. We will know in 14 days what it is. Day 16 I called to find out and the receptionist said I don’t know why she hasn’t called we’ve had the results for several days. I said what is the results. Oh she so busy you won’t find out today, and I ask her if she could tell me she replied it’s against the law for me to tell you. My reply was is there a police officer on Brandon Ave I want to know. She still said no. So I called every 20 minutes until Dr Farthing got on the phone and said it wasn’t a Mast Cell Tumor but it was a type of cancer but we got it all and the margins are good. So fast forward a year, go in for his yearly and did everything Dr Farthing recommended. We will have the blood tests done in a few days and let you know. Day 28 I called and told them I want the money back on the blood tests done in since I hadn’t received the results. The doctor who does the blood work says you’re not getting your money back on that test,, and I asked why do I always have to wait on results dealt with this last year. She said are you mad at me I said no I’m upset with waiting a month on results she replied it hasn’t been a month and I said it’s 3 days shy. I told her I get the impression you all don’t give a shit about my dog. She said that’s not true, do you want the results she said HES FINE!Fast forward a month I’m in the yard playing with my dog and find his neck riddled in marbles (Tumors). I knew immediately it wasn’t good I never said a word to anyone and decided I would just spend what time I had left and showered him with everything I could. I called on June 9th 2025 to schedule him to put down in a week I wanted just a bit more time. The owner called and said Lewis he was fine in April and I said well he’s not fine in May. Bring him in we will do more tests I said no. I want one more week with my dog but only made it to Saturday June 14th . Dr Odell worked him in and I thank you so much dr Odell. Fast forward to Monday June 23rd I called to see if I could pick up his ashes , the receptionist that answered said he hadn’t been picked up . I was like what , it’s been a week. She said we have him in the refrigerator. I hung up and said to myself this isn’t right so I called back and was told no he had been picked up and ashes would be delivered shortly. I picked my boy up . I’ve not heard one thing from anyone from Brandon Animal Hospital. No card no nothing so I really do feel they never gave a shit about my dog. Now I sit here and just wander how it all went wrong - Lewis Clark
