Coast to Coast Cardiology specializes exclusively in veterinary cardiology, offering a comprehensive suite of diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of heart conditions in pets. Their focus is on providing the most advanced and accurate cardiac care.
- Echocardiography (Cardiac Ultrasound): This is a primary diagnostic tool, providing detailed real-time images of the heart's structure, function, and blood flow. It's crucial for diagnosing heart murmurs, identifying specific heart diseases, and monitoring disease progression, as experienced by the client whose Papillon received an echocardiogram for a heart murmur.
- Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG): Used to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart, identifying arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats) and other electrical abnormalities.
- Holter and Event Monitoring: For pets with intermittent heart rhythm issues, these portable devices record heart activity over extended periods (24 hours or longer) to capture fleeting abnormalities that might be missed during a brief clinic visit.
- Thoracic Radiography (Chest X-rays): Essential for evaluating the size and shape of the heart and assessing the lungs for signs of congestive heart failure (fluid accumulation in the lungs).
- Blood Pressure Measurement: A critical vital sign in cardiac evaluations, helping to diagnose hypertension (high blood pressure) which can impact heart health.
- Cardiac Consultations: Comprehensive evaluations by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist, including review of medical history, physical examination, and discussion of diagnostic findings and treatment options.
- Medical Management of Heart Disease: Developing and managing personalized treatment plans for various heart conditions, including congestive heart failure, valvular diseases, and cardiomyopathies, using appropriate medications.
- Interventional Cardiology: In some specific instances, minimally invasive procedures such as pacemaker implantation or balloon valvuloplasty for certain congenital defects may be offered, often performed off-site in collaboration with partner facilities.
- Client Education: Providing detailed explanations of diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment plans, empowering pet owners to understand and participate in their pet's care, as highlighted by a positive customer review.
Coast to Coast Cardiology offers several key features and highlights that set it apart as a specialized veterinary cardiology center in Massachusetts.
- Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologists: The core strength of Coast to Coast Cardiology is its team of board-certified veterinary cardiologists. This specialized expertise ensures the highest level of diagnostic accuracy and advanced treatment planning for complex heart conditions, providing peace of mind to pet owners.
- Specialized Focus: By concentrating solely on cardiology, the clinic provides in-depth, cutting-edge care that general veterinary practices might not be equipped to offer. This specialization leads to more precise diagnoses and effective management of heart diseases.
- Compassionate Handling of Nervous Pets: A significant highlight is the staff's ability to handle nervous and fearful pets with incredible patience and care, as noted by a client whose Papillon underwent an echocardiogram. This gentle approach helps reduce stress for both the pet and the owner during what can be an anxious time.
- Thorough Documentation and Treatment Plans: Clients receive "amazing documentation explaining heart issues, along with a treatment plan." This commitment to clear and comprehensive communication ensures pet owners are fully informed about their pet's condition and the steps needed for their care.
- Professionalism and Relief for Owners: Many clients express "much relief in knowing his diagnosis and prognosis," highlighting the professionalism and the sense of reassurance gained from a visit to Coast to Coast Cardiology.
- Advanced Diagnostic Equipment: As a specialized center, they utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools like advanced echocardiography machines, crucial for precise cardiac evaluations.
However, it's important to acknowledge that specialized care also comes with specific operational considerations, as noted in one customer's experience. This review points to potential challenges with communication regarding results and service pricing transparency, as well as a perception of pressure to undertake services even when a client might believe them unnecessary based on recent prior testing. While the intent of a specialized clinic is to provide thorough diagnostics, this highlights the critical need for absolute clarity in communication, especially regarding expected costs and the rationale for recommended procedures, to ensure a positive client experience. The request for a new doctor and the emphasis on receiving direct answers about pricing underscore the importance of consistent client-centered communication, particularly when dealing with high-cost specialized services and emotional pet care decisions.

Coast to Coast Cardiology Reviews
I brought my 7 year old Papillon in for Echocardiogram for the first time due to his Vet check noticed a heart murmur issue. My dog is very nervous and fearful but the staff was amazing with him and handled him great. I received amazing documentation explaining his heart issues, along with a treatment plan. Coast to Coast is very professional and I felt much relief in knowing his diagnosis and prognosis.
Jun 17, 2025 · Rose MarshallIf I could give it 0 stars, I would. Smh. dr lange , never reaches back out to go over results. just because i denied echo during visit because i got imaging down 3 weeks before and my dog had no liquid in heart. My dog see his reg vet every 3 months for bloodwork to monitor kidneys, blood pressure and xrays..i declined xrays that date because he just had them done 3 weeks before .she then said that she heard crackling in lungs, took him to the reg vet 2 weeks later, he said there was nothing in lungs. also during my last appointment she tried to dispute when my dog was last seen reg vet for his routine xray and bloodwork.. I brought my records and showed her then she tried to put in on my dogs pcp "didnt see visit overview". I have an upcoming appt for an echo BECAUSE NOW ITS NEEDED per his pcp!! , i requested a new doc. so fingers crossed. i just dont think its right spending thousand on a visit and leave not knowing whats going on and the pressing to do services that you dont need at that moment. I spent $800 on blood work and EKG i approved it and never heard back with results on EKG..I had to call pcp to see what she sent over. Im praying better luck with new cardiologist. Also, if we call to ask what is the amount for an echo or even like office visit fee, just try and give them an estimate. its hard as it is in this economy and if we ask before an appointment is to make sure you guys get your money right at check out. you guys dont offer any payment plans. I pay straight cash and cant even a direct answer, our office fee is $100 plus any services you have done. not "well depends all estimates" ...
