What is worth choosing
Selecting a veterinary care provider is a decision that requires careful thought, as it directly impacts a pet’s health and a family’s peace of mind. For pet owners in Tennessee, key factors in this choice often include the accuracy of a diagnosis, the clarity and frequency of communication from the veterinary team, and the transparency of financial practices. While some veterinary hospitals excel in these areas, public feedback can offer important insights into a client's experience.
Publicly shared experiences from customers of Coffee Veterinary Hospital have highlighted some specific areas of concern that are worth considering. One client's feedback noted a challenging experience with a pet's diagnosis, which initially identified a minor issue but later required more serious intervention and surgery at a different clinic. This account raised questions about the thoroughness of the initial diagnostic process, specifically the initial decision not to perform an X-ray. Another client's detailed account expressed frustration with what they perceived as a lack of communication from a specific doctor, citing unreturned phone calls and a feeling of being left without answers regarding their pet's health. Financial concerns were also noted, with feedback mentioning charges for tests that were subsequently recommended for repetition, adding to a sense of financial burden without a clear path forward for the pet’s health.
These experiences, shared by individuals, underscore the importance of these factors in a veterinary relationship. For those in the Manchester community, these accounts may serve as important data points to consider alongside a hospital's location and available services. The decision to choose a veterinarian is ultimately based on finding a practice where you feel fully supported and confident in the care and communication you receive, especially during times of pet illness or stress. The choice should be an informed one, taking into account all available information to ensure the best possible outcome for your pet’s health.

Coffee Veterinary Hospital Reviews
On Thursday 6/13/2024 I had to drop off .y 2 yesr old dog to be seen in between appts. He had been throwing up all the day before and stopped eating. They did bloodworm and an exam and determined that he was just backed up. So we got meds to help use the bathroom and was told his bloodworm was normal and was sent home. As the night progressed he got worse and I could tell he was in pain. Still not eating or drinking or using bathroom at this point as well. Now Friday 6/14/2024 I went up to rhe clinic first thing and asked for x-rays, which I am still unsure why this wasn't done the day prior but I was trusting the experience of the Dr. I was then told his x-rays showed gas build up and possible obstruction but wasn't sure and Dr suggested to be put on fluids to see if it would move bowels along and keep hydrated. I was also informed they wouldn't even be able to do surgery if it was needed nor their sister clinic. So between both days I spent over $500 to be told to go elsewhere basically and still no definitive answer for my dog when I had stressed possible obstruction. Very disappointed with the care ny dog recieved and then not willing to even fix him. This was not Dr Hoover by the way. If this is how clients are treated I will be taking my business elsewhere. I did end up finding a vet and surgery was needed cause he did indeed have an obstruction.
June 16 · jennifer finchumDear friends and fellow dog lovers,It breaks my heart to write this post, but I feel it's important to share my experience and warn others about the lack of care and communication I received from Dr. Hoover at Coffee Veterinary Hospital in Manchester TN.My beloved Blanca has been struggling with a health issue for the past few months, and despite spending close to $1,000 at this vet, I have yet to receive any answers or support from Dr. Hoover. I've begged him to call me and help me understand her condition, but he has ignored my pleas and left me feeling helpless and alone. To make matters worse, he charged me for tests last week that he wants to repeat again, without ever speaking to me once. It's clear to me that he is more interested in taking my money than in providing quality care for my furry family member. If you love your pet as much as I love mine, please heed my warning and go somewhere else. Don't let Dr. Hoover's lack of compassion and communication cause unnecessary stress and financial burden on you and your furry friend.I'm heartbroken that I had to learn this lesson the hard way, but I hope my experience can save others from the same pain and frustration. Please share this post and help spread the word. Our pets deserve the best care possible, and it's up to us to make sure they receive it.
April 04 · Buffy Davis BordenetI have been rescuing dogs most of my life. When I moved from San Antonio TX with 8 rescues, I came to Coffee County Veterinary Hospital and was treated with kindness and immense support of all my animals. Yesterday, Dr. Hoover had to put down my dachshund of 19 years of age - as he has done with many of my aging rescues. He did so even though he was feeling extremely ill and had to be seen for his own illness. He returned to help my dachshund get permanent relief from her aging conditions. I cannot say enough about Dr. Hoover and all his staff for their understanding, their generosity, and all their support toward my family of animals. Thank you all for taking such great care of us during a most difficult time. God Bless Each of You! Dr. Amanda Flagg and Carl Flagg

July 14 · Christine MIf I could I would rate this is zero a dog was extremely sick I took her to be seen here she was vomiting extremely bloated in her belly had hives everywhere wasn't eating and was excessively drinking and running a fever they quote unquote gave her a once-over and prescribed her a pill that I was told was for the hives that was a lie needless to say I had to take her to have emergency surgery by the next weekend because the medicine wasn't working and she was getting worse when I got to the veterinary ER they informed me that not only was she misdiagnosed but that the pills that were prescribed for the hives was actually a cough suppressant to treat kennel cough One of the most expensive pills on the market and I was probably given them just for the vet to be able to charge me that amount of money so now not only did I pay for her to go to see coffee veterinary staff but then I had an emergency medical bill with weekend staff at another place because of the extreme malpractice I almost lost my dog when I went back to explain the situation and ask for a refund they pushed me off three different times till I finally sat in there for over an hour in person so that I could speak with the vet that was with a schedule appointment mind you who then proceeded when coming into the room to meet me and started by raising his voice and telling me that I wasn't going to come in to his office with an attitude which I did not have I was very mindful and polite the entire time I was speaking to the staff until confronted with these words which then I replied I only came in here for a refund given the condition of my dog and the serious issues that have occurred a refund wasn't a lot to ask for he proceeded to tell me I needed to get off of his property and call the police on me with no further conversation or attempt at rectifying the situation that he caused needless to say I filed a complaint with the veterinary licensing board Big do not recommend for this one
