Crago Veterinary Center, featuring Dr. J. Wendy Smith DVM, distinguishes itself through several notable features and highlights, as reflected in various client experiences.
- Compassionate and Empathetic Approach: A significant highlight repeatedly shared by clients is the profound compassion and empathy extended by the staff. One deeply appreciative reviewer stated, "everyone was compassionate, empathetic, and treated us like family. It was a difficult time for myself and my wife, and I just felt as though everyone here understood completely what we were going through. The world needs more veterinary centers like this." This level of understanding and support during challenging times is invaluable to pet owners.
- Dedication to Established Clients: The clinic demonstrates a strong commitment to its existing client base. While this can be a point of contention for new clients in emergency situations, as seen in one review, it highlights their focus on providing continuous, dedicated care to their regular patients. This structure means they prioritize the long-term health and relationships with pets and owners already under their care.
- Understanding of Pet-Owner Bond: The positive feedback consistently points to a team that understands the deep emotional connection between humans and their pets. The sentiment of being treated "like family" underscores their recognition of this bond and their efforts to support owners through difficult moments.
However, it is crucial for potential new clients, especially those facing emergencies, to be aware of a specific policy highlighted in one review. This review, from a new client in a critical situation, indicated that the clinic might prioritize established clients for emergency services: "This place stated they were a emergency clinic so I took my one year-old cat to them... This is what they told me they only, take their customers even for emergencies only." This suggests that while they may handle emergencies, their capacity or policy might be limited to existing patients. This is an important consideration for anyone seeking immediate care and should prompt a direct inquiry about their emergency intake policy if you are not an existing client.

Crago Veterinary Center: Dr. J. Wendy Smith DVM Reviews
My cat was dying from antifreeze poisoning, as what we can tell. This place stated they were a emergency clinic so I took my one year-old cat to them, walked in the door with him, bundled in my arms, dying, and asked for help. This is what they told me they only, take their customers even for emergencies only. What kind of veterinarian are you that you cannot fit in your busy schedule at 8 o’clock in the morning cat that has been poisoned? How did you become a veterinary clinic? The receptionist is rude as hell. I hope every everyone of those people that work there go to hell. Because that’s where they belong. Animals have nothing but unconditional love for a human being and to be treated like this? He literally died a half hour later in my arms, I felt the death rattle, and his last breath. So thank you Crago for not even taking a moment to look at my cat and see if that’s what it was.

Jul 24, 2022 · K_TechDr Dastoli does not listen to people when they say what they want checked and goes on her own feelings. After thousands of dollars with no diagnosis and an extremely sick kitten I have to find someone else to figure out what she couldn’t. Don’t take your animals here if they are sick!!!
