Crosswinds Animal Hospital Reviews
I’ve been going to Crosswinds ever since I adopted my first dog 15 years ago and they’ve always been good to all my dogs. It’s very reassuring to be able to trust the care my pups get. Everyone is a a true animal lover and they take their time to make sure my pups are comfortable as they can be. I live in Anderson and will gladly make the 50 min drive for Crosswinds because it’s worth it for Ethel and Fred.
May 07, 2025 · j.k. hanI was in town visiting my boyfriend’s family for the holidays, and we always drive up with our two dogs from FL. Our one dog usually gets allergies when we take him on hikes/walks outside of FL, and this time we wanted to get ahead of the problem before it got worse. We noticed a few days after we got here constant licking, itching in all different places even throughout the night. We waited to see if it would improve to take him to our vet back at home, but it only continue to get worse, and we still had a few more days before heading back home to FL.My boyfriend’s dad, and wife bring their dog here which is how we were referred. I was lucky to be able to get a same day appointment to see Dr. Jenna Washburn for a new patient exam, she did a skin cytology, was able to provide my dog a cytopoint shot which is what he has been given in the past by his vet for this type of issue, since she saw some bacteria in his skin cytology she also provided us with some cefpodoxine medication for him.I can’t thank her & her team for seeing us in short notice. This will make sure the rest of our trip is more enjoyable for everyone. My first impression of the establishment was plenty of parking, lots of open space outside for the dogs to pee, the waiting area was very clean, nicely decorated, & welcoming for your pets. They have a coffee station by the door, and I saw a restroom on my way into our op. Our op was very clean, private, with some pet information to read while you wait, the assistant was very friendly, and very attentive to my dog.Price is pretty much the same that we would’ve paid in FL. They do ask for a $50 deposit over the phone when making your appointment but it goes towards your bill.Again thank you to the great front desk staff, assistant, and Dr. Washburn for seeing us !I highly recommend this vet for your pet.If needed in the future we would definitely come back when in the area!
Dec 27, 2024 · Rita II bring all of my cats to Crosswinds for every yearly visit or sick visit and they are absolutely amazing! My cats can be nervous at the vet, but yesterday my youngest was so nervous he had an accident on himself AND the vet tech (pee AND poop). They handled this situation in the best way possible! They cleaned him up, gave him some treats, and even prescribed him some anxiety meds to take before future vet visits. Every time I visit, the staff is so kind and welcoming and always so patient and sweet with my nervous kitties. As for the costs, they are always transparent about any costs and provide quotes on any treatments. They also accept Care Credit, which I highly recommend to everyone in case of emergencies! Lastly, they are also so quick at responding to visit requests, prescription refills, or any texts/calls with questions. I will continue to bring all my pets here!!
Jun 29, 2025 · Katelyn BouyeJust wanted to give a shout out to our vet. We been going here for a few years now and always have a good experience but I felt like our experience last week deserved this review. My pup had surgery and on her back leg for a mass. They did the absolute best job they could with it being complicated. They didn't just text me when she was awake but also called me to go over everything which I really appreciated. When pathology came back a few days ago they emailed me with the results. I was disappointed I didn't get a phone call, but nevermind! They called me and went over all the results. So yeah an awesome experience overall. Everyone is always very friendly and acts like they genuinely care about your pet.
Jun 27, 2025 · Jane DoeI’m grateful for the whole experience - for me and my cat. My cat is always quite disturbed by the ride even though it is only about 10 minutes. Usually she calms down and does fine. Today she was more agitated than usual and when they tried to take her blood pressure she hissed and went bonkers. They wisely brought her back to me for her to calm down. They cans back a little later and she did fine. They have a good understanding of the needs of the pet as well as the owner. Very attentive to details - and it shows everywhere. Dr. Powell was particularly kind to both of us.
