Based on common practice and client testimonials, Croton-on-Hudson Veterinary likely provides:
**Wellness & Preventive Care:** This is the foundation of good pet health, including thorough annual physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols (e.g., rabies, distemper, parvovirus), and comprehensive parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworm, intestinal parasites). Nutritional counseling and lifestyle advice are also typically part of wellness visits.
**Diagnostic Services:** To accurately diagnose and treat illnesses, the clinic would be equipped with various diagnostic tools. This commonly includes in-house laboratory testing for blood work (e.g., complete blood counts, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Digital radiography (X-rays) for detailed imaging of internal structures is also a standard offering for diagnosing issues like fractures, organ problems, or foreign bodies.
**Dental Care:** Proper dental hygiene is crucial for a pet's overall health. Services would typically include professional dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and extractions of diseased teeth to prevent periodontal disease and its associated systemic health issues.
**Surgical Procedures:** Most general practices perform a range of surgical procedures, including routine spaying and neutering, as well as various soft tissue surgeries (e.g., tumor removal, wound repair). Anesthesia monitoring and pain management are integral parts of any surgical service.
**Management of Chronic Conditions & Illnesses:** Providing ongoing care for pets with chronic diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, kidney disease, or allergies. This involves regular monitoring, medication management, and adjustments to treatment plans to maintain the best possible quality of life.
**Microchipping:** A vital service for pet safety, microchipping helps ensure that lost pets can be quickly identified and returned to their owners.
**Pharmacy Services:** An in-house pharmacy for convenient access to necessary medications and prescription diets.

Croton-on-Hudson Veterinary Reviews
Dr. Eldridge really cares about the animals. I've been to many vets and they all price gouge to the point where owners are forced to make decisions based on finances. To me those vets should not be in business. Yes, all great vets should make a great living, the money and time spent to become a veterinarian warrant that, but neither side should take advantage of the other. Be honest, pay great vets (like Dr. Eldridge) what they deserve, w/o manipulation, and any vets that read this should follow Dr. Eldridge's lead. Thank you Dr. Eldridge for having a heart and doing all that you do!
Oct 21, 2024 · Carole RoyMy dog has gone to Dr Eldredge since a puppy. He loves going to the office. Staff is most friendly and professional. We are so lucky to have found them all.
Jun 06, 2024 · Dilli GafIt has been our great fortune to have had Dr. Eldridge help care for our dog over the past 14 1/2 years. Her sage advice and care helped us to address questions that arose over time and sometimes with little notice. Her dedicated team all made our dog Carly feel welcome and special. When the time came to deal with the pain and infirmities of old age, she was patient, caring and empathetic. A wonderful professional and I know that she has shown her array of skills with others. This place is a great resource.
Mar 25, 2022 · John TobinDr Elridge and her team are exceptional vets. They're kind, personable, never rush us, and nearly always able to squeeze in emergency visits when needed. I called at opening on a Saturday and they got my dog in that day and took as much time with him as they needed. They're also very understanding about budget and will work with you to treat your pet and not bury yourself in debt.I moved away from Croton for a few years and I still drove almost an hour to this vet because she's truly the best I've ever met.
Jun 12, 2021 · Tony GordonI have been taking my pets here since I was a kid, and they've always been immensely kind, caring, and gracious in listening as well as explaining any questions or illnesses my pets have had. I went in today for a follow-up with one of my kitties who had to be rushed to the emergency vet over the weekend. (He's okay, no worries!) I felt terrible because the clinic is always so busy, but Dr. Janice not only listened to my kitty's unfun weekend story, looked at his records from the emergency vet, but also asked questions to make sure we were on the same page. I was worried something would be wrong still, but Dr. Janice checked him over thoroughly and happily reported he's much improved and will be fine—even writing down specific instructions for me in his medicine adjustments and other necessary supplements. This is the only place I'll ever take my cats, and this is absolutely why. So, so grateful, thank you.
