Cumberland Valley Veterinarian: Dfolan Jennifer M DVM Reviews
My dog had emergency surgery and follow-up care was done at Cumberland. Repeated requests for $300 lab work (total $900 not including prescriptions) and other costs seemed more than necessary. Zero care was shown that she had just gone through thousands of dollars of emergency surgery. A few weeks after telling us the blood work finally came back negative we took her in because of dermatitis. Doctor wasn't even the one who stayed in the room talking with my husband, it was the vet tech who got very angry when I didn't call her a nurse. She provided us with a bill of almost $500. It seems if they had shown any care towards the family and the dog they would have talked with us about measures we could take to try to control the dermatitis before we started reaching into the $500 bills. They gave no options for other care, they didn't really discuss her care, the vet tech wouldn't even look at her skin to look at the issue so it was hard to discuss the matter. I give this practice a one because not only do they not thoroughly discuss what's going on with the dog they also don't seem to care that some families would like to know what options there are. If the vet tech had simply looked over Bella's history I would hope she would have discussed with us all the options we could consider taking with regard to the dermatitis and not simply give us only one option and the most expensive option. I want a vet and a vet team that truly cares about the health of my dog and works with the family to make sure that help can be provided.

Nov 15, 2022 · Katherine GableWould not sell me a bag of prescription dog food that was impossible to get anywhere else in Hagerstown because my dog was not their patient. I had to drive to Frederick the next day to purchase this medically necessary food for my diabetic dog. Will never use this office.
