Dermatology for Animals - Catonsville Reviews
Took my gsd here for skin allergies and chronic ear issues. Dr. Solc was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. She was very good with my dog, who really didn't want his ears touched. She got down on the floor and was really gentle and thorough. Ethel was also very nice and explained everything to us. The lady at the front, who may be Crystal, who I booked with, was also so nice. The location was very clean and smelled great. Lots of parking and easy to access if you have any mobility issues ( no steps). When I first called to book, they were so booked the first available appointment was 3 months out. I got on the cancelation list and they ended up getting me in like 10 days after I first called.
Mar 24, 2025 · Julie JosephAlthough it took a couple months to get an initial consultation appointment, the doctor was very thorough and worked with me on follow-up allergy testing and treatment options. The staff was attentive and helpful during my 2 appointments.I am doing immunotherapy injections and it is too soon to tell whether it's helping as I also got a cytopoint injection separately to keep my doodle comfortable.A frustration is that it is very difficult to reach someone in the office with questions as their phone always goes to voicemail and then phone tag usually follows.
Jun 26, 2025 · Karen C BI came here to take my dog in for some skin issues she’s been dealing with and it was worth every penny. My pup has some serious anxiety issues, especially around vets, and I had a change of clothes I brought fully expecting to be nervous peed on. The vets were all SO INCREDIBLY patient with her. Not only did she NOT pee, but she even warmed up to them for a belly rub! We’re working on treatments now, and it will be a while before we know if they work. But I appreciate the care, the patience, and the comprehensive overview from our appointment.
Mar 08, 2025 · Elura Morris⸻Dr. Solc and her team have been truly exceptional. Our Siberian Husky experienced a frightening and severe bout of allergy-related respiratory attacks in the spring of 2024. Though she had been on Apoquel for seasonal allergies, these symptoms were unlike anything we’d seen before—debilitating reverse sneezing episodes that left us in and out of the ER, our primary care vet, and even visiting an internal medicine specialist. Despite everyone’s best efforts, no one could pinpoint the cause.By the time the episodes eventually subsided, we were left anxious and unsure how to prevent them from returning. I made an appointment with Dr. Solc for March 2025 and sent over extensive records: ER notes, vet reports, allergy test results, and a personal journal documenting everything. To my surprise (and relief), Dr. Solc had already reviewed all of it before our visit. She spent a full hour with my partner and me—thoughtfully walking us through her observations, outlining an immediate care plan, a longer-term strategy (including immunotherapy), and steps to take if the attacks recurred.Today, a Facebook memory reminded me that it was exactly a year ago when our dog finally started recovering from that terrifying spring. I’m beyond grateful to say that this year, we’ve had zero respiratory episodes. Thanks to Dr. Solc’s guidance—along with the new medication, environmental changes, and bedtime routines—our Husky is thriving. With any luck, by this time next year, she’ll be on immunotherapy alone. We’re incredibly thankful for Dr. Solc’s expertise, compassion, and proactive approach!Dr. Solc is House of the veterinary world!!(Photos of a happy Lukin girl enjoying the outside world!)
Jun 03, 2025 · Lauren ZablotnyWe are in love with this place! Our pitbull is like a new dog after just one visit. He went from wearing an snti-scratch collar 80% of the day to not having to wear it AT ALL! Dr. Solc and her staff are incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. I wish we would have come here sooner!
