East Orange Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr. Santiago has been my Paris' vet since before the pandemic. Always compassionate and to the point. The staff always excellent and caring. My Paris is nearing 18 years old and is going through some kidney failure which we had under control for almost a year. He gave me all the pros and cons and told me that I was doing a good job keeping the BUN levels etc stable and keeping the slow progression in check; since its shes going to be 18.In the last month, Paris started to slowly deteriorate but then again she is still accepting all our love, she likes taking her short walks and she likes being around my friend's dog. She have been drinking a lot of water and eating less since her food choices are drastically changing on a daily basis because as per Dr Santiago he'd rather have her belly full then be emaciated when it's her time.We had a little scare in the last 24 hours but after his examination of my Paris today he told me her heart was eating fine she was not in distress and that she was not in pain as far as he could see she was all calm when she was with him and she did not even wince when he was examining her and squeezing her belly. She just needed anti-nausea medication. I also have been giving her the sodium IV with the B12 and will continue to do so.Dr Santiago was very straightforward with all the choices we have and she should do fine with the anti-nausea medication. He is amazing. Well his office is not in a country club setting his services compassion and the compassion of his staff far exceeds. I've met so many great people at his office.Sorry for the long post but I truly recommend Dr Santiago. My Paris is the Blue Merle Shetland Sheepdog mixon Extreme left of these photos. The black smaller dog and the minime. Australian shepherd are her besties.

Apr 10, 2025 · seryna ramosI can't say enough good things about East Orange Animal Hospital and Dr. Santiago! He is an excellent vet—knowledgeable, communicative, kind, and incredibly generous of spirit. Years ago, he cared for my dog until her passing, and now, years later, I have a cat for the first time. There was no question in my mind that I would bring him to Dr. Santiago, even though I now live over an hour away. His staff is also incredibly kind and helpful, making every visit a positive experience. The level of care and compassion they provide is unmatched. If you're looking for a vet who truly cares about his patients and their humans, look no further. Highly recommended!
Mar 13, 2025 · Michelle HernandezIf you’re looking for someone that will care for your babies & provide great service, this is the place ! This is the doctor ! Words can’t express how grateful I am to Dr. Santiago. I can’t thank him enough for his extraordinary service. You can tell he knows what he’s doing & love it! My baby had surgery to remove gallstones. Just two days later & she’s feeling so much better. She’s responsive, she’s barking. She’s so happy againMy baby was taken to a different hospital before that provided no help at all. As soon as I took her to Dr. Santiago the very same day he knew exactly what was wrong with her & helped to ease her pain. He was able to fit her into his schedule the same week to do surgery. He was very calm & reassuring. I wasn’t worried at all. He stayed with my baby overnight after surgery to watch over her & make sure she’s rested. I thought, “ omg this man is amazing ”.He even allowed me to keep some of the stones he removed. I can’t thank this doctor enough! My Daisy will definitely continue to visit him.
