Equine Athlete Veterinary Services Introduce
Equine Athlete Veterinary Services is a highly specialized and dedicated veterinary practice that focuses exclusively on the health and performance of horses. Serving the Williamston, Michigan, area and traveling to farms and events nationwide, this clinic is a key resource for horse owners who are serious about their animal's well-being and athletic career. This is not a general large animal practice but a team of equine sports medicine specialists who understand the unique demands placed on horses. Their mission is to provide cutting-edge diagnostics, innovative treatments, and comprehensive care to ensure that equine athletes at all stages of life can perform at their best.
The practice's mobile nature is one of its most valuable features. Instead of requiring a horse to be transported to a clinic, the veterinarians travel to the client's farm or event. This on-site service is crucial for a large animal like a horse, as it reduces stress and allows for more accurate lameness and performance evaluations in the animal's natural environment. As a client noted, the positive experience with Dr. Hill was so significant that he "may have saved both of my horses." This kind of direct, on-location care builds a strong bond of trust and allows for a more personalized approach to veterinary medicine. The clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools that they can bring on the road, including digital radiographs and ultrasound, allowing for high-quality care without the need for a separate hospital visit.
Equine Athlete Veterinary Services distinguishes itself with its focus on sports medicine and lameness. The veterinarians are experts in diagnosing and treating complex musculoskeletal issues that can affect a horse's performance. They offer a wide range of advanced therapies, including IRAP (Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein) therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments, which are at the forefront of regenerative medicine. These services are vital for rehabilitating injuries and getting a horse back to top form. The practice also provides essential routine care, from Coggins tests and strategic deworming to core vaccines, all delivered with the same level of expertise and attention.
However, as with any specialized service, experiences can vary. One customer shared a very negative experience with a specific chiropractor from the Michigan team, citing unprofessional behavior and a lack of results. The customer noted that the chiropractor complained, did not complete the work, and the client felt they paid for "absolutely NOTHING." The review highlights a crucial point: while the clinic is known for its high-level services and expertise, individual practitioners and specific services may have varied outcomes. It is important for potential clients to do their research and communicate their expectations clearly. That said, the positive feedback about Dr. Hill, in particular, speaks to the high level of care and expertise that clients can and do receive from the practice. The fact that he was credited with potentially saving two horses is a powerful testament to the skill and dedication of the team.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could do zero stars I would!! We are located in MI and the women chiro that came to our farm was very unprofessional, she complained several times about different things including saying that she wishes she never got into horses as a young girl… who says that while they are working on someone’s horse?! She didn’t finish working on my 4 year old quarter horse because she got all irritated that she had no muscle and was way too tiny to be moving horses around for chiro work. Her response was “I’m not hurting myself trying to fix you” he was not even fighting her she just didn’t know what she was doing! We paid over $500 for only two horses and it was for absolutely NOTHING. We found a different chiro that came out and she was amazing and fixed the issue. Do not use the Michigan chiropractor!!! I called to complain and they said I would hear back from them and never did. It was a loss for us!
