Fort Sill Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For military families and retirees in the Lawton, Oklahoma area, the **Fort Sill Veterinary Clinic** is an essential and highly valued resource for pet healthcare. Located conveniently on post, this facility, which operates as a dedicated **Veterinarian** practice, focuses on providing superior **Routine Care** and **Preventive Medicine** for companion animals. While its primary mission is to ensure the health of Military Working Dogs and other government animals, it extends its services to privately owned pets of eligible military ID card holders (active duty, retired military, Reserve/National Guard, and their dependents) on a space and time available basis.
The clinic is renowned among its clientele for offering professional, high-quality care at a significantly more **reasonable price** compared to many civilian clinics in the region, such as those in Lawton and even Wichita Falls. This affordability, combined with the staff's professionalism, patience, and kind demeanor, makes the clinic a preferred choice for many Oklahoma military families. Despite fighting the challenges common to government entities—such as limited staffing and occasional medication stock issues—the team consistently works "well above what one would expect from a government service," providing fast, friendly service with a smile.
Staff members, including figures like **Captain Allen** and **Krystal**, are frequently praised for their accommodating and patient approach, especially when dealing with the complexities of military life. For families navigating Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves, particularly overseas assignments, the clinic offers critical support. One family attested to the staff's dedication when an issue with a required health certificate arose at the airport; the team immediately worked with Captain Allen to resolve the problem, ensuring their dog could safely board. This dedication to going the extra mile for military families and their pets underscores the clinic's core value.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I started using the Veterinary Clinic at FT Sill when my Veterinary Clinic in Wichita Falls remodeled their clinic and immediately became the highest priced clinic in Wichita Falls.FT Sills's Clinic is very reasonable and friendly.I have only used the services for routine dog services, shots, checkups, and medication for arthritis in an aging Doberman.Even with the limited interactions, whenever I call or walk in, they call me by name as well as either of my dogs. The clinic is by appointment only when I mentioned that I would walk in. It was to pick up an RX or report for one thing or another. They have regular hours most days. They are closed Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, and the last day of every month for inventory. As it should be, military animals take preference since that is what the Clinic is actually there for. They service nonmilitary animals on a space and time available. The reasoning behind a one-star subtraction, is that as with a lot of businesses, military or civilian they only have limited space and cannot carry every medication so I had to return to finish filling a medication that had been prescribed. After using the Veterinary Clinic for a few years now, they are still working well above what one would expect from a government service. They fight the same issues that any government entity does, yet they provide fast friendly services with a smile and almost always make you feel good about being there. - So very accommodating and patient! We’ve been trying to PCS for an overseas assignment with many delays and changes. They’ve been so accommodating and helped us get a health certificate for our dog. When we arrived at the airport we’d realized there was an issue with a letter and called them, they worked with Captain Allen to help us get our animal safely onboard. For being short staffed, they are patient, kind, and professional. Exactly the type of service you’d hope to receive.Thank you so much Krystal, Captain Allen, and staff!! February 04 · Nathan VanFleet
- Today was the 1st time I've been able to go inside with my dog since covid. It's a very nice place with people that care about animals. Everyone wanted to know my dog's name and my dog really enjoyed the attention from all the staff. July 12 · William Merritt
- Small, but extremely friendly and efficient staff. Extremely knowledgeable and handled my 2 cats’ annual shots with ease.10/10 will be coming back to this veterinary. July 30 · Christian Joshua Butay
- This facility gets a 3 because they are familiar with the requirements on shipping animals overseas, but service is very slow. Even with an appointment you can expect to wait 20 min to be seen (past your appointment). The professional service is fine but I would have gone with another place if it was so conveniently located on post.A perk is they will call you a few days before your appointment to confirm you're still coming, which is nice. However, if they had better computers or more motivated clerks the service would be acceptable. January 13 · Erick
