May 27, 2025 · JarrettMs. Brooke Knowlton, DVM…If I could give her 10 stars, I would! We have been rescuing kitties and caring for a colony of kitties for a couple of decades. We were fortunate enough to have Ms. Brooke as our veterinarian in Cibolo for almost 10 years. Of all the veterinarians that we have used over decades, she is hands down the best! Procedures include anything from shots, tooth extractions, surgeries including spaying & neutering, amputations, stitches, cyst removals (benign or cancerous), euthanizations, ear cleanings, nail clippings, you name it, she can do it. She was always fair with pricing and was always very generous not just at work but also with her own personal time. She always goes above and beyond.I also really appreciated how hands on she was and directly communicated with us, with detail and compassion, always offered options whatever our needs were whether financial, emotional, practical, etc. She is compassionate, very kind and friendly, understanding and considerate, patient, and very knowledgeable. She makes you feel like you and your pet are the most important customers to her. She is truly genuine. You can tell that she went into this business with true love and compassion for animals. I always felt that my pets were in good hands with her. Quality vets, not to mention affordable especially in the city where everyone is going ‘corporate’, are not easy to find. Losing Ms. Brooke as our vet was an enormous loss. Anybody who has Ms. Brooke as their vet is lucky to have her...she is deserving of nothing less than a 5 Star review!Anna, SATX on behalf of Tokyo, Sparkplug, Nugget, Ralphie & Alphie, Skittles, Buster, Ridley, Whiney & Hiney, Woody & LouLou, Tigger & Monkey (MIA), and Wilma (RIP)
May 30, 2025 · Tokyo JThe vet office was informative on what was happening with our little puppy. We thought he was sick parvovirus but he actually had hook worms. Which was making him so sickly. We went in and the lady stated he was needing a blood transfer and there would still be a chance he wouldn’t make it. We undertood, and we’re all trying to figure out how we would go about payment. While trying to decide in private, the vet tech came back in with the option of : giving the puppy up or even euthanizing him. Which wasn’t our option. While she was discussing this with us another vet tech walks in saying how she can’t wait to have our puppy for herself. She always wanted a German shepherd puppy. This caused confusion because we weren’t on the lines of giving our dog up. But yet it seems they were deciding for us. They didn’t allow us much time to discuss how we would pay but gave the biggest option of just letting the vet shop have him. But to walk in while someone can’t even grief their dog is insane… we figured out form of payment and the lady helping us seemed upset about the fact we chose to pay it. The lady told us 666 for the blood transfer and everything but then after we decided on payment she went up in pricing… kind of odd but once again ok. We will pay, I then asked if we could see our dog if he dies and she was basically saying no. We wouldn’t be allowed to see our dog if anything happened… odd. I understand vets want the best option for dogs. But, please allow the people to have privacy to discuss what’s going on. Let alone, before you start deciding what your going to rename someone else’s dog.
