Feb 26, 2025 · Peggy NobleOur beautiful Tillie was a patient at GWL Animal Hospital for a few years. Unfortunately, when we needed them, they didn't have the compassion to make an appointment for an emergency euthanasia when our dog was in crisis. The kind folks at Vernon Veterinary Clinic were able to see her immediately even though they had other patients. They were caring and compassionate even with total strangers.
Mar 12, 2025 · Karen WintrowMy boyfriend and I brought our 15 year old dog in a little over a week ago. We ended up having to put her down, which in itself was devastating. What was even more devastating was our experience here. For starters, there was a guy who worked there, he walked past the room two or three times and was staring at us on the floor with our dog. The final time he came up to the door was in the middle of her being euthanized. My boyfriend had to stand up and tell him to go away. A lady came in multiple times throughout the process of her being put down hounding us for payment. Our dog was getting her leg shaved for the injection and she came in. Not even a minute after we put her to sleep she came in asking for it. We didn’t even get a second to grieve the loss of our dog and was disturb horribly in the middle of losing her. They have no sympathy there, I personally don’t recommend.
Apr 22, 2025 · Serina ReddenMy family took all of our animals to Dr. Louer growing up. My mom still says..."I will never find a vet like Dr. Louer!" Well she is so right! He is the best vet EVER! From 6 years old I remember going to see him with our older German shepherd Athena....well fastforward 20 someodd years to Dr. L being there with my family when my cat Otto, who he treated the entire time we owned him, had to sadly be put to sleep at the very ripe old age of 20 years...all thanks to Dr. Louer who cared for our cats and dogs like they were his own. He literally saved my cat Otto's life, and Otto lived to be 20!!! Otto had to have his entire large intestine removed...And if there was ever a time that a vet went above and beyond for his patient, that time is when Dr Louer and another Dr. (that's how serious this surgery was!) performed the extremely difficult procedure. Dr. Louer treated Otto as his own those couple days. And Otto recovered and lived a long full happy life!! That's just one life he's saved that I am talking about...so can you imagine how many other dogs or cats that lived long full healthy happy lives thanks to Dr. Louer? Well it must be in the millions, at least! You will never be sorry you took your pet here, this practice truly is the best of the best! I am probably going to be taking my cat Felix to him soon...the only reason we didn't is because I lived too far away. However we just moved so I definitely have to call them!! There is also this AWESOME lady named Ginny who works there...or I believe she's still there! She is the fairy godmother of all kittens and cats, both with illnesses and/or just abandoned, Ginny fosters these cats until she finds them a home! She took in our kitten who turned out to be ill and I already had 2 cats who would catch the disease if we kept the kitten. Ginny to the rescue...she took our little Mr Whiskers in and cared for him until he passed, peacefully thanks to her, at the age of 2. We can never thank both Ginny and Dr. Louer enough for all they have done for my family!-Caitlin (Ennis) Covello🐾🐈
