★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Hands down the best Veterinary Clinic in the country.Doctor Barton and her colleague's at Parkland Veterinary Clinic.does and will treat your pets as if they were their own.their friendly knowledgeable.and always explains what’s going on with my pups what meds they need how and when to give them and always calls and checks on them after treating them. I’ve had pets for years and I’m very picky about their care and Heartland has always took excellent care of my critters. April 01 · Mark Harrington
- Best experience I've ever had with a veterinarian. They got my rescued cat in quickly and took care of all of our concerns. They explained things clearly and the cost was much lower than I expected. I will definitely be taking all of my pets here. July 19 · Hannah Stith
- I took my French bulldog here to determine if she was pregnant. On date of visit 3/19 I paid 126 dollars for initial visit and x-ray. When scheduling said appointment I told the receptionist that date of conception would be 2/26-2/29. She said no problem, we will do an X-ray to determine if she is or not. After doing x ray I was told the vet (Dr Jennifer Barton Comte) couldn't see anything due to how much food and fecal matter was in her system and that it was a psuedo pregnancy. (Which was my first red flag because how do you know it's a false pregnancy if you're telling me you can't see anything to begin with) I was told by vet that I needed to bring my dog back after fasting her to get a better look to make sure, which would have cost me more money. I stated I wasn't paying for a second x ray when I wasn't told to fast her to begin with. They said "no worries, no charge bring her back tomorrow morning"The next morning (after not feeding her from 9pm previous night) I brought her back to heartland vet clinic to see the same vet and was told after x raying her for a second time that it was in fact a psuedo pregnancy.Something about her not even being hardly 3 weeks and the whole situation didn't set right with me so I did a little research and called three other vets from Farmington to St Louis. All stated that an x ray could not be used to determine pregnancy until at least 45-50 days after getting stuck to male. That x rays are only used to determine how many puppies based off skeleton count which puppies have not even closely developed at barely 3 weeks.I immediately called heartland back to request a refund. I was very upset that not only did they diagnose my dog with fake pregnancy but that they didn't even determine the pregnancy correctly. I was told they had no other way or means (lacked proper equipment) to even test her properly. That an x ray was the only way to test. I stated that those can't even be done until the 45-50 day mark so they took my money and pay knowing there was no way to tell me anything. The receptionist told me she'd have the vet call me back personally. The vet called back two hours later, I stated the same thing to her as I did to the receptionist. Vet told me she could still tell if the uterus was distended on an x ray. I asked if she was able to tell that this early and instead of answering me she said "I can offer you a free x ray at a later date" I said "no thank you I would just like the money back so I can see a different vet in a couple weeks"I received the refund 2 days later. After speaking with another vet in the area they told me the only ways to determine pregnancy before 50 days was an ultrasound and hormone testing. Most accurate after 4 weeks. That while psuedo pregnancy is common proper evaluation to determine this is to rule out real pregnancy which means hormone testing and ultrasound. We received neither from heartland. Thanks to a different vet we now know our Frenchie is in fact pregnant. While we did receive our money back I'm writing this review to hopefully get a more accurate read on stars/rating. The reason I scheduled with heartland is because they had the best rating. March 31 · Cayla Grounds
- Excellent service all the way around. I wouldn't trust my fur babies with anyone else. Kindest staff and wonderful care. June 28 · Deanna Lucas
- Nicest clinic. My cat , Princess loves them. My husband also loves them. That's saying something. He hated the last vet we tried. This clinic is personable, patient, and professional. After surgery. Princess was too rambunctious. She was not sleeping. Neither were we. She kept wanting to remove her cone and she succeeded many times, in less than 5 minutes got her cone off and her outer stitches licked off. The cone disappeared behind furniture I couldnt move or reach it. The clinic let me stop in without an appointment to get another cone. I decided to bring Princess, so they could advise on the missing stiches. I didn't tell them, I was worried and I just showed up. They didn't make us wait more than a few minutes. Natalia a tech.? Was kind enough to help me get new cone on. I have arthritis and it's harder for me to handle some things. Natalia was patient and explained everything to me. The vet gave us a calming medication. One day later... Princess is calmer, getting the rest she needs to recover, and keeping her cone on! and i got some sleep to!. I truly appreciate the Heartland team. Very kind and they love their patients. 💗😺. Thank you Heartland! May 17 · Rachel Gardner
