- Routine Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are fundamental for preventive care, allowing veterinarians to monitor a pet's overall health, detect potential issues early, and ensure they are up-to-date on vaccinations.
- Vaccinations: Essential immunizations to protect pets from common and serious diseases, tailored to the individual pet's lifestyle and risk factors.
- Parasite Prevention and Control: Programs for preventing and treating fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites, which are crucial for both pet health and public health.

When considering Hilltop Animal Clinic, several aspects contribute to its overall profile as a local veterinary care provider.
- Local Community Presence: Being situated on Main Street in Leicester, the clinic has an established presence within the community, making it a familiar landmark for residents seeking local pet care services. This local accessibility is a key feature for many pet owners who prefer a nearby option for their animal's health needs.
- Focus on Routine and Preventive Care: Like many community-based veterinary practices, Hilltop Animal Clinic likely emphasizes the importance of regular wellness exams and preventive measures, which are cornerstones of long-term pet health. This focus helps pet owners maintain their animals' well-being before issues become severe.
- Client Testimonials Vary: It is important for potential clients to be aware that experiences can differ. While one long-term client expressed significant satisfaction, highlighting consistent positive care for over a decade, another recent review described a highly negative and distressing incident involving a dog with aggression issues and a very serious outcome. This contrast in experiences suggests that while the clinic has a history of serving clients well, specific situations, especially involving challenging pet behaviors, may be handled in ways that could lead to extreme dissatisfaction for some owners. This highlights the importance of open communication with the clinic, especially if a pet has specific behavioral or anxiety concerns.
- Importance of Communication for Behavioral Issues: The contrasting reviews underscore that for pets with known behavioral challenges, clear, proactive communication between the pet owner and the clinic staff is paramount. Discussing a pet's temperament and triggers before an appointment can help the clinic prepare and potentially avoid stressful situations, aiming for a safer environment for all involved.
- Accessibility for Local Residents: The clinic's address on Main Street contributes to its practical accessibility for pet owners in Leicester and nearby towns, minimizing travel time for appointments and emergencies.

Hilltop Animal Clinic Reviews
PLEASE FOR YOUR ANIMALS LIFE, DO NOT GO TO THIS VETMy dog Charlotte is dog aggressive and has bitten ONCE before. Yesterday, she had a checkup for bloodwork, and we were going to ask about antidepressants since she has been more worked up than usual after she had bitten a few weeks prior. We were going there for help! . Barry, who works at the front desk, made us put down my sweet baby, who meant well. This was after an altercation happened when my stepfather walked into the vet. There was another small dog (keep in mind this is not acceptable because dogs should not see eachother, and it should be appointment by appointmenth) My dog Charlotte went to attack the dog but was pulled back. However, the vet got in the middle, and Charlotte then tried to bite her. My dog acted on instinct. At the end of the day, this was an animal who was in an unfamiliar place, and we were looking for help for her aggression! Barry forced my stepdad right then and there to put her down or he would call the police. Im devastated. I never said goodbye, and she was only 6 years old.

Apr 16, 2025 · John DoeSo if you were ever thinking about using this place think twice. My wife called today to inquire about pricing for our puppy to be Spayed, rabies shot and distemper. The guy that answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional screaming at her telling her that they don't give estimates and literally hung up the phone on her. So she called back to ask how she could go about getting an estimate and what that attitude was all about and she got screamed at some more. So the moral of the story is clearly the people that work there are completely unprofessional and should not have a job dealing with customers. If they are this unprofessional with humans imagine how they'd treat your family pet. If you're an existing customer think about removing your pet from their care immediately.
Jan 09, 2025 · Josh SutterBeware- my wife and I sent over information to transfer one of our pets here for care, and we got a call back from a guy on the phone who accused us of our animal being aggressive due to a note from our other clinic that our animal doesn't like to be restrained and not telling them, then refusing to accept us. This was news to us. The guy on the phone was extremely rude to my wife and very unprofessional.
